Costa Rica

Located in Central America, between Nicaragua and Panama, bathed by the Pacific and Atlantic oceans; with a population of just over 5 million people and thousands of colorful species, all of whom feel proud to call this little piece of land “home".

5% of the world’s biodiversity can be found within Costa Rica’s borders and great efforts have been made to preserve this rich resource; protected areas make up almost 25% of the land (National Parks, private Reserves, etc) – more than any other country in the world. From hiking and surfing, to white water rafting and exploring volcanic regions, Costa Rica is the perfect playground for nature lovers and adventures seekers alike.

SUSTAINABILITY. Because we believe in sharing our social and ecological assets without compromising the resources for the future generations, we strongly encourage you to follow the policies in our Wildlife Areas and National Parks. Always use the garbage or recycling cans and enjoy sharing with our local people without going against our culture.  Never feed the wildlife or take animals and plants out of a national park, reserve or protected area.

San Jose, affectionately known to its residents as “Chepe”, lies in the heart of Costa Rica and is home to almost two thirds of the country’s population. With few buildings over 100 years old, the mountainous capital is relatively modern compared to its Latin American counterparts, but still has a great amount of culture, art and history for visitors to discover. With a number of theatres full of Costa Rican culture, museums that include the largest collection of American jade in the world, and streets full of bright murals and painted buses, San Jose is an eclectic city waiting to be experienced.

Manuel Antonio

28 Feb 2019 - 2 Mar 2019

Manuel Antonio National Park, the smallest in Costa Rica and certainly the most popular due to its spacious white sand beaches framed by an evergreen forest that goes right down to the sea, is a jewel of biodiversity on the central pacific coast.

The star attractions of the park are the fauna: playful Capuchin monkeys, laid-back Sloths, vociferous Howler Monkeys and the cute and endangered Squirrel Monkeys are readily found as one strolls on the any of the four, mostly flat beach trails, which offer restrooms, picnic tables, drinking water and showers. There is also a strenuous uphill forest trail that will lead to a breathtaking viewpoint of the park’s marine section.

This is definitely the main attraction of this area.
