The day will begin by hiking 1085 meters up Table Mountain the scenic route from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, taking in the 360 views of the City before descending in the Cable Car.
We combine this with a discovery of the city of Cape town, exploring the city centre and the colourful district of Bo Kaap on foot, as well as experiencing some true hidden gems in the heart of the city.
The day will begin by hiking 1085 meters up Table Mountain the scenic route from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens up Skeleton Gorge, stopping for a coffee at the Secret Dam before hiking across to Maclears Beacon. Along the way, we will find a scenic secluded spot on the mountain top to enjoy our delicious gourmet picnic.
To maximize our time exploring the Table Mountain National Park we will descend Table Mountain by Cable Car, taking in the 360 Panoramic Views of the City and the Mountain face that you successfully summited.
The focus of the rest of the day, will be to explore the City Centre on foot, visiting the flower sellers’ market on Adderley Street, the Grand Parade, Greenmarket Square, the City Hall – where Nelson Mandela gave his 1st speech after being released from prison, company Gardens & St. Georges Cathedral while your Guide tells tales about the History of the Cape.
In the afternoon, we will continue the discovery of the city, including wandering through one of the most photographed neighbourhood in Cape Town: the colourful characteristic streets of Bo-Kaap.
For a memorable end to your day, we will visit 2 little hidden gems in the heart of the city for some chocolate indulgence in a small artisanal chocolate company where the goods are hand-crafted using old school methods, using quality organically produced ingredients and making a pure chocolate that has a deliciously distinct feel and taste. round this memorable day off with a refreshing Gin & Tonic in a tucked away Gin Bar.
