13-Day Namibia Camping Adventure

Day 1: Windhoek

On arrival at the Windhoek International Airport, a representative from the transfer company will meet you and transfer you to their depot in Windhoek where the vehicle handover will take place, marking the start of your self-drive adventure across Namibia.
Shortly after you have finalized all rental procedures, a meet & greet representative will meet with you to answer any questions you might have as well as go through your route with you and make sure that you are ready for your self-drive adventure.
Head to your guesthouse and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your leisure, exploring the city or unwinding after your journey.
In the evening, indulge in a delicious dinner at one of Windhoek's popular restaurants, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and getting excited for the adventures ahead.

This morning, after breakfast, head into Windhoek to stock up on groceries and supplies for the next few days of camping. Once prepared, leave the bustling city life behind and travel south to the tranquil Kalahari Desert for your first night camping.
Upon arrival, set up your campsite and take in the peaceful desert surroundings. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or enjoy optional extra activities offered at the lodge, such as a scenic nature walk, a 4x4 excursion, or a visit to the nearby dunes.
It’s a perfect start to your desert adventure!

Wake up to the breathtaking sunrise over the stunning red dunes of the Kalahari Desert and enjoy a leisurely breakfast
After breakfast, prepare for departure to your next destination, Sossusvlei where you can spend the afternoon at your own leisure, exploring the area or relaxing at your campsite located inside the park
The next day, a full day is set aside, embark on a self-drive excursion to explore the highlights of Sossusvlei, including the iconic sights such as Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy
After a full day of exploration, continue your adventure with optional extra activities like a hot air balloon flight or a nature walk immersing yourself in the unique desert landscape

Depart Sossusvlei after an early breakfast, travelling to the cooler coastal town of Swakopmund
There are two route options you can consider, either via the Moonlandscape or Walvis Bay
On arrival, check-in at the guesthouse and take the afternoon to explore the charming town, visit local shops, or relax at a cafe. Alternatively, consider joining an optional quad-biking experience in the dunes.
The next day, you have a full day set aside for a day filled with excitement. Choose from a variety of thrilling optional activities available in Swakopmund, such as Sandboarding, Dolphin & Seal Catamaran cruise, 4x4 Sandwich Harbour Excursion or Kayaking with Seals

This morning, after an early breakfast, head into town to stock up on groceries and supplies for the next couple of camping nights in Damaraland. Once you're fully prepared, you'll depart for this scenic and remote region, ready to experience the rugged beauty and tranquility of the area. With your essentials in hand, you can focus on enjoying the adventure that lies ahead in Damaraland's stunning landscapes.
Travel along the stunning coast, stopping to visit the Cape Cross Seal Colony. Enjoy watching the playful seals in their natural habitat.
Continue and either backtrack to Henties Bay and head inland to Damaraland or opt to travel through the scenic Skeleton Coast Park, taking in the unique coastal landscapes.
Arrive at your campsite in Damaraland., set up your camp and after a long day on the road, take the afternoon to relax and unwind.
The next day, enjoy breakfast and then head out to explore the Twyfelfontein sights, Damara Living Museum and take a drive-in search of the Desert Elephants that roam this rugged terrain (suggested to do as a guided excursion with the lodge guide & vehicle)
Return to your campsite and prepare your BBQ dinner, reflecting on the day's adventures in the stunning Damaraland region.

Today you depart to Etosha National Park, known for its incredible wildlife experiences.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an afternoon self-drive game drive inside the park. Return late afternoon, set up your camp and prepare for another delicious dinner, either at the campsite or you can book optional extra dinner at the lodge.
Explore the diverse landscapes and keep an eye out for the park's abundant wildlife.

After breakfast, begin your journey through Etosha National Park. Travel slowly, stopping at various waterholes along the way to observe wildlife. Continue your journey and exit the park on the eastern side, where you will spend the next few nights at your private campsite.
The next day, a full day is set aside for you to enjoy self-drive game drives at your own pace or opt for guided game drives with the lodge guide in open safari vehicles for a more immersive experience.

Enjoy a leisurely morning at your campsite, before checking out.
