Day 1: Lima

Welcome to Peru!

Arrive at Lima´s airport, reception, and transfer to the hotel in Miraflores district, check in (15:00 hours).

Day 2: Lima

**09:10 – 09:40** Markets are always a relatively accurate reflection of cities. Small and monotonous cities usually have orderly markets but with reduced product offers. In Lima, on the other hand, the coexistence of its millions of inhabitants from all corners of Peru has generated marked contrasts that are felt in all aspects of life in the city, including gastronomy. In this opportunity, we will visit a traditional market that is preferred by famous chefs, where we will find a great variety of typical natural products.

You will have a unique experience learning from the best of Peruvian cuisine; we will also learn to cook our tourist lunch. Additionally, we can taste an exquisite Pisco Sour or Chilcano courtesy.

Later we will go to the center of Lima, passing through the different neighborhoods of Miraflores, San Isidro, Lince, and Cercado. We will be able to appreciate the Justice Palace, Museum of Lima, Italian Art Museum, French Palace, and Plaza San Martin. Our walking tour begins at the Plaza de Armas, where you can also appreciate the Cathedral of Lima, Municipal Palace, Government Palace, and Archbishop's Palace; we will have free time to take pictures of the attractions. We will continue to the Saint Francis Monastery and visit one of the main attractions, the catacombs, a series of underground passages under the church where the former inhabitants of the city were buried.

Finally, return to the hotel.

At 19:30, We will have our welcome cocktail. Includes 3 cocktails + 4 different snacks per person. & LCD projector/screen.

Day 3: Paracas

Day 4: Nazca

Breakfast at the hotel.

Early morning excursion to the Ballestas Islands, located off the coast of Pisco. They constitute the habitat of much marine fauna, such as the Humboldt Penguin, pelican, pikemen, flamingos, dolphins, and sea lions, which can be easily observed from a motor boat. After 02 hours, return to the hotel.

Private transportation to Nazca. Arrive and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Lima

Very early breakfast at the hotel.  Transfer to the airport to fly over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. This enormous set of geoglyphs has a network of lines and drawings of figures of animals and plants attributed to the Nazca culture that covers an area of approximately 217 square miles. Among the prominent figures, we can see the Hummingbird, the Dog, the Monkey, the Astronaut, etc.

The German Maria Reiche dedicated 50 years of her life to the study and research of the place, concluding that it was an astronomical calendar. From a 12-meter-high lookout, you can partially see the figures of The Hand and The Tree.  

In the afternoon, return to Lima after 07:50 hours of travel, arrival, and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6: Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco. Arrival, reception, and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the morning is free to acclimatize to the altitude.

In the afternoon, pick up to start your City Tour of Cusco, where you will visit The Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the nearby ruins: Qenqo (Ceremonial and Ritual center, place where sacrifices were made), Puca Pucara (Emperor Pachacutec probably used this complex as a Tambo), Tambomachay (also called “The Bath of the Inca”) and Sacsayhuaman Fortress (the place where the main Inca Festivals, Inti Raymi and Warachicuy take place). Return to the hotel.

Day 7: Cusco

Enjoy lively experiences at the ChocoMuseo and the Museo del Pisco de Perú. Be part of an interactive workshop, learning about these two iconic ingredients, and delight yourself with Peruvian chocolate, pisco, and a local fish dish.

Begin the tour at the ChocoMuseo, where you will experience the "From grain to bar" workshop. Learn about the process of harvesting cocoa until its final consumption.

Understand why Peruvian cocoa is one of the best in the world. Finish the activity by preparing a delicious chocolate mold.

Afterward, continue to the Pisco Museum, and let yourself be guided in a commented tasting of four different types of pisco. Try a traditional Peruvian dish, like fresh ceviche or tiradito. Savor a Pisco Sour, the classic drink of Peru and an essential element of Peruvian culture.

Day 8: Machu Picchu Pueblo

Breakfast at the hotel.

In this more extensive tour, we walk through all the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Starting with a pick-up from your hotel between 6:30 to 7:00 am, we will travel to Chinchero, the ancestral town of the Incas, where we will appreciate the royal estate of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui and the colonial square and temple. We continue to Moray to visit the Inca agricultural research center with impressive circular platforms. From there to the old salt mine of Maras, a visually unique place and ideal for practicing photography. Going down to the beautiful Sacred Valley, we will have lunch in a buffet-style restaurant in Urubamba. Bordering the river of the same name, we arrive at the ancient citadel of Ollantaytambo, with its imposing fortress and incomparable canals, great walls, and temples, beautiful examples of Inca architecture.

Later transfer to the Ollanta train station towards the majestic city of Aguas Calientes; the travel time is approximately 01 hour 30 minutes. Arrive at Aguas Calientes town, and transfer to the hotel.

Day 9: Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, we will board the buses to ascend to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. The tour will be 02 hours and 30 minutes, including the Intihuatana (the Solar Clock), the Palace of the Incas, the Three Windows, etc. At the end of it, we will descend to Aguas Calientes. You will have some free time in the town.

At a scheduled time, transfer to the station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

At the same time, transfer to de Map Café restaurant, private dinner, and Golden experience. Overnight. (B, D)
