Day 1: Rio de Janeiro

Bem-vindo in Brazil! After landing at the international airport of Rio de Janeiro, you will be warmly welcomed. On the transfer to the hotel on Copacabana you can get a first impression of the former capital of Brazil, which is wonderfully embedded between numerous hills and bays. From a distance you can certainly take a look at the two landmarks of the city: the statue of Christ and the Sugar Loaf. The rest of the day can be used as freetime.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast, embark on a tour to visit Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer.

Enjoy the cable car ride up the Sugar Loaf to the highest point. The ride with the cable car takes place in 2 stages: Start at the boarding station for Mount Urca and then from Mount Urca to the summit of the Sugar Loaf. Admire the sight of the long banks of Rio and the beautiful hills covered with the Atlantic rainforest. Relax on top of the Sugar Loaf and snap beautiful photos to remember that moment.

Follow the guide to the next location: the Christ Redeemer. Enjoy the minivan ride along the Paineiras Route in the Corcovado Mountains. Enjoy the splendor of the statue of Christ on the Corcovado. Find the best position to capture the famous image that mimics the Christ Redeemer pose. Take in breathtaking views of the city before returning to the hotel.

You have the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro

Free morning.

­In the afternoon, we invite you to join us in a journey back in time. This is a 4-hour tour visiting Ancient Rio and Santa Teresa!

Starting with hotel pickup, we visit the historical center of Rio. and walk around the Praça XV, Arcos dos Teles, Cinelandia (and take the opportunity to visit Colombo’s bakery) and the Arcos da Lapa.

We also visit the bucolic neighborhood of Santa Teresa with the beautiful houses of the early 20th century. Santa Teresa is famous for its traditional tram from 1897 and for the several painters that live there.

At the end, we take you back to your hotel.

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro

Rio’s second biggest party – only slightly trailing Carnival – is New Year’s Eve, also locally called “Reveillon”, along Copacabana Beach.

There is no cost to the beach celebration, and more than 2.5 million tourists and Cariocas come every year to the legendary beach to celebrate the changing of the year, and take part in one of the world’s biggest and best parties. Partiers start to arrive on Copacabana Beach early in the day, to set up their stay for the rest of the day and night.  By the time evening arrives, the beach is pulsating with people waiting to ring in the new year, and by midnight, close to 3 million people are in the beach, ringing in the new year.  

Don't forget to wear white, as Brazilian tradition dictates!

Day 5: End of Itinerary

After incredibly great impressions of one of the truly most beautiful cities on earth, take your flight home today, if you end your individual tour of Brazil at this point.
