Friday:

Cape Town‘s history dates back to when Lithuanian Jews fled northern Europe to come to South Africa, and in the heart of Cape Town‘s historic city centre there is one of the oldest Synagogues in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as a lovely walk through formal gardens with Houses of Parliament, SA National Gallery, and then just up the hill, the cable way to Table Mountain. Our morning is packed with history, beautiful views and a walking tour of the area. The afternoon we will break out of the city centre and over the hill to an incredible botanical reserve located on the side slopes of Table Mountain, and visit the tree canopy bridge set high above the forest floor, overlooking a large area teeming with birdlife, and hundreds of unique plant species. Return to the hotel with ample time to prepare for Shul, and walk down the hill for Friday night Shabbos services.
