Chobe River Front

After your arrival at Kasane International Airport you will be expected and driven to your booked accommodation. Depending on the time of day, you will have the opportunity to relax a little.

The afternoon begins with a boat trip on the Chobe River. From the ship you can observe the variety of the native animal world wonderfully. The river is home to a large number of crocodiles, which you can often see on land. Hippos also live here in large numbers, mostly in the water, but with a bit of luck you may also see them dry. Depending on the season, you can also see large herds of elephants, buffalos and antelopes, lions that come to the river to drink and of course hundreds of water birds.

In the evening dinner in the restaurant and a relaxed conclusion at the bar.

Day 2: Kasane

Chobe River Front

The day starts early. At sunrise your first game drive starts in the famous Chobe National Park, which was founded in 1967 as the first National Park of Botswana after independence. A large number of African animals live within its 10,500 square kilometres. The park is not fenced, and there are strong migrations of elephants and antelopes to other regions, including outside Botswana. The park is known for its huge elephant population. Over 100,000 elephants have already been counted here, depending on the season. You also have a good chance of seeing lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs and hyenas.

After returning to the lodge, there is free time until the afternoon for another boat trip on the Chobe River.

Today is another highlight, you will visit the majestic Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! After Kasane you cross the border to Zimbabwe. Continue across Zambezi National Park to Victoria Falls. Here, on a width of over 1700 meters, the water masses plunge up to 100 meters into a narrow gorge. In the rainy season, up to 10,000 cubic metres of water per second shoot over the edge, during the dry season in September and October, however, they are often only fractions of it.

You have free time to admire the waterfalls from all perspectives. You can book sightseeing flights, go hiking or even swim at the edge of the waterfall.

In the afternoon you will drive through the Zambezi National Park back to your accommodation in Botswana.
