Day 1 - Arrival :
Arrive at Blantyre's Chileka International Airport and be met by your guide. Transfer to Majete Wildlife Reserve and spend your first night's accommodation at Thawale Camp.
In a prime location, the lodge is set on the edge of a pristine waterhole that regularly attracts a wide variety of Wildlife, including a family of elephants that often frequent the area. within the reserve boundaries, the lodge is completely unfenced to give guests a unique experience in the natural surroundings.
On this arrival day, you will go on an evening game drive into the park to enjoy some good sightings of nocturnal animals.
Travel time is 2hours
You will go on an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast.
Majete has a swimming pool really close to the animals for the fun of it. The day can be spent at the swimming pool or just sitting on the lounge and enjoy the sight of animals coming to drink at the near waterhole.
Depart Majete wildlife reserve soon after breakfast and travel onto Liwonde national park arriving in for late lunch.
After lunch, you can take a dip in the swimming pool. Late afternoon, return to the reception area for tea/coffee before heading out for the afternoon game drive.
Travel time 6hours
You will wake up, with the beautiful bird sounds, and go on an early morning walking safari in the park. After 2 hours, return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you will get on a wooden boat and enjoy some of the best ways of game viewing on the Shire River inside Liwonde National Park. Return to the camp after 2 hours and spend the day at leisure. Late Evening, you will go for another evening game drive. Overnight at Mvuu Camp on full board basis
After breakfast at Mvuu Camp, travel by road to Cape Maclear arriving in time for lunch. Your accommodation in Cape Maclear is at Makokola Retreat. On this day you can take a dip in the swimming pool and take beach walks. T he more adventurous ones can do the following optional activities;
-Boat cruise on Lake Malawi.
-Snorkeling. -Sailing.
-Waterskiing.
-Wakeboarding.
-Speedboats.
-Kayaks.
-Round tubes
After the morning activity and breakfast at T he Makokola Retreat, travel to catch your boat, off to Mumbo Island. Mumbo Island Camp offers an exclusive escape on an otherwise-deserted island in Lake Malawi National Park.
