Days 1 - 2: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Welcome to Zimbabwe! Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the airport and driven directly to your lodge. There, you can relax and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may still have some time to explore the lodge.

DAY 2 - Your tour begins with an absolute highlight: the majestic Victoria Falls, reverently called Mosi-oa-Tunya – "the Thundering Smoke" – by the locals. After breakfast, set off with your small group and tour guide. From afar, you'll see the mighty masses of water cascading down with a roar, sending thick clouds of mist into the sky. The falls stretch an impressive 1,700 meters wide and plunge up to 100 meters deep – especially in March, they transform into the largest continuous curtain of water on earth. Amidst the tropical surroundings, a unique rainforest is created, existing only because of the constant spray from the falls. During your guided walk along the falls, you'll discover spectacular viewpoints and repeatedly feel the refreshing spray on your skin. You'll then return to your accommodation and can spend the afternoon as you wish. Either you relax in your comfortable accommodation or you book one of the two optional excursions available:

Days 3 - 4: Kasane

Today, your journey continues to Kasane, a small, lively town in the far northeast of Botswana. Located in the so-called quadrilateral, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe meet. Kasane is considered the gateway to the world-famous Chobe National Park – a haven for wildlife, especially elephants. Since its establishment in 1967, Chobe has been Botswana's first and one of its most important national parks – and today is home to the largest elephant population in southern Africa.

After arriving at the lodge, idyllically situated on the outskirts of town, you have time to relax. Take a dip in the pool, relax on the terrace with a cool drink, or simply listen to the sounds of the bush.

Because Chobe National Park is unfenced, the wilderness extends right up to civilization: It's not uncommon to see warthogs, impalas, or baboons strolling through the streets of Kasane – sometimes right past the lodge grounds. A first, very direct impression of how close humans and animals can be here.

Come together for dinner at the lodge and discuss your expectations for the next few days.

DAY 4 - Today, you'll immerse yourself in the fascinating wildlife of Chobe National Park – one of the most biodiverse protected areas in southern Africa. Early in the morning, you'll set off on an exciting game drive in an open 4x4. As the rising sun bathes the savannah in golden light, the bush begins to move: antelopes cautiously cross the tall grass, warthogs nimbly scamper across the tracks – and with a bit of luck, you'll spot a family of elephants on their way to the next watering hole. Lions, buffalo, and giraffes may also occasionally appear in the early morning hours when temperatures are still pleasant.

Spend a relaxing lunch break at your lodge and fortify yourself with lunch. Afterwards, the adventure continues – this time from the water. Aboard a safari boat on the Chobe River, you'll glide leisurely along the river, always on the lookout for animal encounters. Keep an eye out for sunbathing crocodiles lying motionless on the banks, while entire families of hippo's leisurely dive through the water. Chobe is also a paradise for birdwatchers: colorful kingfishers, fish eagles, and herons are just some of the species that can be admired here.

After a day full of intense and unique wildlife viewing, you'll return to your accommodation. Dinner awaits you there. End the day in pleasant company.

Days 5 - 6: Savuti - Chobe National Park

After breakfast, you depart. From Kasane, you'll travel to the famous Savuti area in the south of Chobe National Park – a place known for its intensive wildlife viewing and spectacular landscapes like no other. The vast, acacia-strewn plains, the mysterious Savuti Channel, and the high density of predators make this region special.

On early morning and late afternoon game drives, you'll roam this rugged and impressive wilderness with your experienced guide. Look out for majestic elephants, stately kudus, shy leopards, and—with a little luck—the famous Savuti lion prides, which are particularly well-seen in this area. Hyenas, jackals, and a variety of bird species also call this area home.

You'll then return to your special accommodation for the next two nights: a comfortable, mobile tented camp in the heart of nature. The spacious tents are equipped with comfortable beds, linens, and a bush shower – for an authentic yet comfortable camping experience.

As the sun slowly sinks below the horizon and the sky glows in warm orange tones, enjoy a freshly prepared, multi-course dinner in the cozy dining area. With a cool drink in hand, listen to the crackling of the campfire and the calls of the wildlife.

DAY 6 - Today, too, is all about intense safari experiences in an open-top 4x4. Both in the morning and afternoon, you'll explore the wildlife-rich Savuti area, which offers exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing, especially during the dry season. During this time of year, the vegetation is sparse, the grass short, and the waterholes become vital gathering places for many animals.

Savuti is known for its striking scenery: A landscape of raw, wild beauty unfolds against ancient trees that tower into the sky like silent witnesses to a bygone era. The deep blue sky forms a stark contrast to the dusty savannah and the vibrant colors of the wildlife. Impressive photo opportunities will continually present themselves – be it a herd of elephants at a watering hole, a pride of lions in the tall grass, or antelope in the swirling dust.

Spend midday at your mobile tented camp, which accommodates only you and your fellow travelers in a small group. Enjoy a delicious lunch and pure idyll.

In the late afternoon, as the sun slowly sinks, the animals gradually retreat into the more forested areas, and the warm light of the African twilight bathes the scenery in a golden glow. In the shimmering heat, the animals sometimes stir up large clouds of dust, creating an almost magical scene in the reddish light of the sunset.

In the evening, you return to your mobile tented camp. While the safari team prepares a delicious dinner under the stars, there is time to reflect on the day's impressions – whether around the campfire with a glass of wine or while quietly chatting under the twinkling starry sky.

Days 7 - 8: Greater Moremi

After a leisurely breakfast, your journey today begins with a special experience: Instead of a conventional transfer, an open 4x4 safari vehicle awaits you – ready for a slow, impressive drive through the fascinating wilderness of Botswana, heading north to the Moremi Game Reserve.

This extraordinary route takes you through the heart of untouched nature, past vast plains, dense bush landscapes, and seasonal waterways. Unlike a simple drive from one accommodation to the next, this day will also be a safari: There are repeated opportunities to observe animals along the way – you might encounter elephants leisurely crossing the track or a group of zebras curiously peering out from the grass. With a bit of luck, you might even spot big cats or rare bird species along the way.

The Moremi Game Reserve is considered one of the most biodiverse and beautiful national parks in southern Africa. Especially on its northern border, where open savannahs, swamplands, and forests alternate, you can expect an exceptionally high density of wildlife – a paradise for nature lovers and photographers, so be sure to have your camera ready for snapshots.

You'll carry your lunch in small packed lunches and stop for it at suitable locations. Then you'll continue your journey.

In the afternoon, you'll finally reach your camp, idyllically situated on private land on the edge of the Moremi Reserve. Here, you'll enjoy not only the tranquility of nature but also a high level of comfort, once again close to the wildlife.

Look forward to a relaxed arrival and a lovingly prepared dinner.

DAY 8 - Today's itinerary includes a full-day safari in the Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana's most biodiverse and scenically diverse game reserves. Considered the jewel of the Okavango Delta, Moremi combines open savannahs, dense mopane forests, lagoons, and papyrus banks to create a unique mosaic of habitats—perfect for unforgettable wildlife encounters.

In an open-top 4x4 vehicle, you'll embark on a game drive through this impressive wilderness. Your experienced guide knows the best places to spot wildlife and, with his keen eye and captivating stories, ensures an informative and diverse safari. It's not uncommon to see a variety of animals over the course of a day: warthogs, zebras, kudus, impalas, and buffalo roam the plains, while giraffes tower majestically above the bush.

With a little luck, you might also spot predators – lions, hyenas, or even a leopard resting in the shade of a tree. Numerous bird species, such as African fish eagles and wading birds, can also be observed in the watery areas.

Every safari is unique, as the wildlife follows the rhythm of nature. During the African winter – the dry season – many animals gather at watering holes and along the Okavango River, making for spectacular sightings. In the warmer months, however, the animals seek shelter in the shade during the midday heat – and that's exactly where a closer look is worth it.

In between, enjoy a picnic in the heart of nature – perhaps overlooking a lagoon or under a shady tree; your guide is sure to find a suitable spot. Once refreshed, you'll continue your search for tracks in the afternoon. Keep your camera ready, because the next highlight could be waiting for you around every corner.

Return to your accommodation full of special impressions and end the evening with a cozy dinner at your accommodation.

Days 9 - 10: Okavango Delta

After adventurous days in the dry bush, the landscape changes today. After a hearty breakfast, your journey continues to the edge of the legendary Okavango Delta. Since 2014, the world's largest inland delta has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and for good reason. Here, the Okavango River, which never reaches the sea, spreads out in a complex network of channels, lagoons, and seasonal floodplains – a fascinating habitat for countless animal and plant species.

Your accommodation is idyllically situated on the edge of this unique wetland. The spacious tented suites, built on raised platforms, offer not only comfort and privacy, but also magnificent views of the watery plains surrounding the lodge. With a bit of luck, you might spot elephants, antelope, or colorful birdlife from your private terrace. After a leisurely arrival, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch together.

In the afternoon, you'll actively explore the delta for the first time on a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle. The landscape here appears more open and light, with palm trees, shimmering water, and the constant interplay of light and shadow. There's a good chance of spotting elephants, giraffes, antelopes, or even big cats – the wildlife here is as diverse as it is fascinating.

In the evening, a cozy dinner awaits you at your lodge.

DAY 10 - Today, you'll explore the Okavango Delta from the water. This morning, you'll board a traditional mokoro, a type of handcrafted built-in raft, and glide silently through the reed-lined waterways of this unique wetland. With the gentle lapping of the water the only sound, sit back and relax, taking in the magic of nature. Your experienced helmsman will maneuver the mokoro safely through the labyrinth of canals, pointing out hidden bird species, vibrant water lilies, and perhaps even a curious antelope on the banks.

Back at the lodge, a hearty lunch awaits you before you can decide for yourself what your next safari adventure will look like in the afternoon: Water levels permitting, you'll take a motorboat out onto the expansive river channels—faster but just as spectacular. Alternatively, you can hop into an open-top 4x4 and explore the drier areas of the surrounding area on a classic game drive.

No matter which option you choose, you'll reunite with your fellow travelers at the lodge in the evening and end the day in style with a sundowner. As the sun sinks behind the savannah in warm colors and the light bathes the landscape in gold, you'll toast an unforgettable day in the heart of the Okavango Delta with a cool drink in hand.

Day 11: Maun

Today begins with a decision: Do you want to travel with your small group and guide through the vast landscapes of Botswana to Maun – or experience the incomparable beauty of the Okavango Delta once again from a bird's eye view?

An optional scenic flight (approx. 45 minutes, for two or more people, approx. USD 400 per person, payable on site) offers you the unique opportunity to view the inland delta in all its glory. From the air, spectacular scenery unfolds: Waterways crisscross the green landscape like veins, and you'll spot herds of buffalo, families of elephants, or antelope moving through the dense mosaic of savannah, wetlands, and forests – a breathtaking sight you'll never forget. The flight ends with a landing in Maun, where you'll rejoin the rest of your small group.

Maun has developed into a vibrant center on the edge of the delta. Small cafes, local markets, and cozy lodges invite you to slow down and reflect on the past few days. Here, at the transition between wilderness and civilization, you'll end your journey.

Day 12: End of Itinerary
