At the appropriate time, meet your guide at the hotel and private land transfer to Banana Bamboo Lodge, in Ubatuba (4-5 hours). After checking in, take a guided (or self-guided) trail around Banana Bamboo lodge property where you will be introduced to the sustainable technologies, agroforestry, lookout and enjoy a river bath. Learn more about permaculture, bioconstruction, water collection and treatment, use of rainwater, composting, seedling nursery and wander around the agroforest. Overnight at the lodge.
Leave the lodge on foot for a hike until the Trombador Waterfall. Pass through plantations of manioc and banana, as well as houses made of the “pau a pique” technique, a sustainable method of construction peculiar to the caiçaras inhabitants of the region. Amidst the Atlantic Forest, arrive at the Trombador waterfall.
