Thamalakane River Lodge is placed on the banks of the Thamalakane River, just 19kms from Maun, and en route to the famous Moremi Game Reserve.
En-suite stone chalets, some with private splash pools are positioned in the shade of the riverine forest,
overlooking the river. Chalets and our swimming pool take advantage of the 180-degree view of the
riverbanks lined with fluttering reeds visited by an ever-changing array of waterfowl, and birds, and the
occasional hippo. It is a delightful place to come home to after a day spent exploring.
Our widely acclaimed restaurant serves a la carte and buffet-style meals from an ever-changing menu.
Dusk is spectacular, with the sun setting the river ablaze as is slowly dips behind the trees. You can
arrange various things for your journey in Maun, like buying supplies and tanking Diesel for the coming
days of wildlife reserves.

Passionate about Botswana's natural treasures, the Chobe river floodplain area always had a special appeal
to our bush lover's eyes. Chobe Elephant Camp sprung from a desire to provide an authentic wilderness
experience in Chobe, away from the increasing number of visitors concentrating on the Eastern side of the
park, and in close collaboration with those who have grown up in these unique surroundings and are
immensely enthusiastic about introducing their home to international travelers.

the world. The Local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya", the smoke that thunders and is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. There is a magic about them manifested in the towering column of spray when the river is high, the thunder of the falling water, the terrifying abyss, and tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and deadly crocodiles lurk.
The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic meters of water plummet over the edge every minute.

Continue your self-drive 4×4 back south, and on to Nata, at the edge of the Makgadikgadi salt pan.
Elephant Sands is a bush lodge & campsite in the north-eastern part of Botswana. Come and enjoy viewing the elephants at our natural waterhole right in front of the lodge. Watch these impressive creatures whilst they drink at only a couple of meters away from you, a unique experience! There is plenty of other wildlife around as well on our unfenced 16000 ha private conservancy. The lack of fences allows all animals to roam freely. We are ideally located in the center of Botswana’s highlights, such as: the Makgadikgadi Pans, the Okavango Delta, and Chobe National Park. Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park are on our doorstep so to speak.

This is a quirky place in a quirky part of the world, where we live cheek to tusk with old elephants; sleep
in Afro-chic Bakalanga Huts; swim in the largest, coolest pool in the Kalahari; eat the finest pan-African
cuisine, and of course, drink something cold with hunters and vagabonds, travelers and locals in the
the funkiest bar in Africa. It’s the coolest desert oasis around – and a part of Africa that few will experience,
but all will remember.

easy road access to Jumbo Junction for self-drive guests. Jumbo Junction is located on a seasonal tributary of the Selinda spillway and has scenic views of deep-water channels and riverine forest islands. Jumbo Junction provides easy access to a 100 000-hectare, unfenced concession just waiting to be explored. The concession, NG12, has a diverse range of wildlife and its remote location ensures that your game drive vehicle will probably be the only one at game sightings that you experience, a privilege not often found at other locations in the Delta. One scenic flight per person included. Maun to Jumbo Junction.
