Arrival to Ivalo Airport where your driver will be waiting for you. The driver will take you to your chalet in Saariselkä. After you have settled in chalet you will be served an authentic Lappish dinner made by your chef.
The second day starts with a delicious and filling breakfast at the chalet. After the breakfast your driver will pick you up and take you to a husky farm where the husky safari takes place. First you will get familiar with the dogs and the farm as your guide tells about the huskies’ habits. Then you will be seated on the sled, which will take you to a frozen lake through pure white forest. You will feel the pace as the dogs are dashing forward the ice. The landscape is truly unforgettable as you are surrounded with wintery wilderness. During the husky safari you will enjoy a local lunch. After the safari your driver will take you back to your accommodation.
After you have rested at the chalet your driver will pick you up and take you to a reindeer farm where the aurora hunting begins. The darkness has already fallen and the stars have come out. First you will be served a typical Sami dinner at the farm and while you are enjoying your dinner you guides will tell about Sámi culture. After the dinner you will be seated on a reindeer sled, which will take you to a wintery forest and you will enjoy the scene of a sky full of stars and hopefully the nature will bless you by blazing out the northern lights. This is a magical experience, which you will never forget. After the reindeer safari your driver will take you back to you chalet.
The third day will start by enjoying the breakfast at the chalet. After breakfast you will be picked up for a private snowmobile safari. You will be snowmobiling through the winter wonderland to Nellim, where you will spend the night at a wilderness hotel. During the snowmobile safari you will enjoy a comprehensive lunch. When you have arrived to Nellim and to you accommodation, you will be served a delicious dinner.
The fourth day will begin with a good and filling breakfast at the hotel restaurant. After the breakfast you will continue the snowmobile safari back to Saariselkä. Again during the safari you will be served lunch. After the safari, you will be taken to Kakslauttanen glass igloos, where you will spend the night. You will be served mouthwatering dinner at the igloo village.
It’s time to pack up and head back home with plenty of joyful memories of the winter wonderland. After breakfast your driver will take you back to the airport where you will begin your safe trip home.
