11-Day Southern Secrets of Namibia (Comfort)

Days 1 - 2: Intu Afrika Kalahari Game Reserve

On arrival at the Windhoek International Airport, a representative from the transfer company will meet you and transfer you to their depot in Windhoek where the vehicle handover will take place
Shortly after you have finalized all rental procedures, a meet & greet representative will meet with you to answer any questions you might have as well as go through your route with you and make sure that you are ready for your self-drive adventure
Once all the formalities are done, you set off on the open road travelling to the Kalahari Desert where you spend your first night in Namibia
Optional extra activities are available at the lodge; Sundowner drives, Bushmen experiences, Horse Riding to name just a few

Depart the Kalahari Desert and self-drive towards Fish River Canyon, where you'll spend the next few nights.
On your way, stop to visit the fascinating Quiver Tree Forest near Keetmanshoop before continuing to the lodge.
Once at the lodge, enjoy a full day at your leisure, exploring the breathtaking canyon area or taking part in optional extra activities offered by the lodge, making the most of your time in this stunning region.

On your last morning in Fish River Canyon, enjoy the peaceful surroundings before departing for Lüderitz.
En route, pass through Aus, where, if you're lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the famous desert feral horses.
Continue your drive to Lüderitz, where you'll spend the next few days.
A full day is set aside to explore this historic town, including a self-drive visit to the fascinating Kolmanskop Ghost Town, offering a glimpse into Namibia’s rich history.

Wake up and enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
After breakfast, prepare for departure to your next destination, Sossusvlei where you can spend the afternoon at your own leisure, exploring the area or relaxing at the lodge
The next day, a full day is set aside, embark on a self-drive excursion to explore the highlights of Sossusvlei, including the iconic sights such as Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy
After a full day of exploration, continue your adventure with optional extra activities like a hot air balloon flight or a nature walk immersing yourself in the unique desert landscape

Depart Sossusvlei after an early breakfast, travelling to the cooler coastal town of Swakopmund
There are two route options you can consider, either via the Moonlandscape or Walvis Bay
On arrival, check-in at the guesthouse and take the afternoon to explore the charming town, visit local shops, or relax at a cafe. Alternatively, consider joining an optional quad-biking experience in the dunes.
The next day, you have a full day set aside for a day filled with excitement. Choose from a variety of thrilling optional activities available in Swakopmund, such as Sandboarding, Dolphin & Seal Catamaran cruise, 4x4 Sandwich Harbour Excursion or Kayaking with Seals
