After your morning safari take to the air for a birds-eye view over the Okavango Delta. A game drive starts right at the airstrip on the way to Kanana Camp. Choose two activities per day.
Tonight, sleep under the stars on the sleep-out deck which we highly recommend.

Another bushplane will take you to the northwest of the Okavango Delta after your morning safari.
Vehicle safari at Kadizora:
The primary activity of any safari is a game drive. We operate with a fleet of robust comfortable customised open-sided vehicles, built to be effective in our unique terrain.
The best Game viewing is at dawn and dusk. The first game vehicle leaves camp before the sun is up, the second drive heads out into the wilds in the late afternoon. We also offer night drives, Please do speak to your guide or the manager to enquire.
Safety is our first priority when you are out on a game drive. We ask that you pay attention to your guides safety briefing. At times your guide may ask you to remain quiet, be calm and stay seated.Feel free to engage with your guide at any time and to ask as many questions as you’d like. Also, feel free to point out anything you may see when you’re on the move as your guide will be focused on the road.
Beverages and snacks
It’s surprising how fresh air and adrenalin can really work up an appetite. All of our morning game drives include a A “hotbox” on the vehicle containing hot and cold beverages, a breakfast sandwich and fruit, which you will enjoy during your “safari halt” on the morning drive.
Sundowners on your afternoon activity will include a scenic sunset and a tiffin of savoury nibbles with a Gin & Tonic or beverage of choice.
If however, your Guide is tracking something exciting, he may persuade you to skip the break to track down the sighting instead.

Boat Cruises at Kadizora:
A highlight with many guests is a leisurely boat cruise down the channel…
With the chance of seeing a herd of elephants feeding and swimming in the river channels.
Being on the water allows for fantastic birdlife sightings especially during the months of August and September, such as the majestic fish eagles, kingfishers and African jacanas.
Skimming smoothly over the clear waters of the Okavango, stopping to drift whilst sipping on a sundowner is very tranquil and a must do when visiting.
OR
Mokoro Canoe:
One of the most sublime ways to experience the Okavango Delta is in a mokoro, this is an iconic Okavango Delta activity, you will be guided by your specialist guide poler.
Few safari experiences are enjoyed in total silence, glide atop glassy waters, splitting reeds and parting lily pads.
Traveling just above the waterline affords a whole new vantage point, the pods of hippos wallowing in the channels and other game along the water’s edge.
A Mokoro ride in the Delta is an absolute “must-do” activity, even if it at first seems terrifying. The almost silent form of transport allows travellers to move through the waterways and get closer to wildlife than they would normally, into shallow waters, where a boat cannot reach.
All guides learn to handle a Mokoro at a very young age – as early as seven years old – making them expert-polers by the time they are adults.
When exploring Botswana’s Okavango Delta, the vehicle of choice is the mokoro – the local Setswana word for a traditional canoe.
Helicopter flight - optional:
For a little extra during your stay, add a flip on a helicopter to add scenic aerial shots of the Delta to your collection. A Helicopter flip has become more affordable because Kadizora Camp has a helicopter and pilot based permanently in the camp. This means you no longer have to pay for the“dead leg” for the helicopter to get to camp from Maun.
The helicopter experience is superior to a scenic flight on a fixed wing aircraft because the doors of the helicopter are removed for your flight – this means unhindered views of the scenic terrain below, great photographic opportunities and the ability to fly where you would like to within the time limit of your flight.
Fast facts about the helicopter
– A 3 seater Helicopter, which means everyone gets a window seat.
– Doors are removed so there is no glass between you and the wilderness.
