Depart the U.S. on international flight to Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
Upon arriving into Santa Cruz, Bolivia, you will clear immigration and procure your Bolivian travel Visa (if necessary) and proceed to the baggage area and clear customs. Just outside of the airport doors you will be met by Felipe Molina or one of his staff who will then transfer everyone to your hotel where we will reserve your single or double room and you will just pay the hotel directly, upon check in.

There are several airlines servicing Santa Cruz, one of them, COPA, will arrive into Santa Cruz this evening. The other carrier is Air Boliviana and they currently fly overnight, arriving into Santa Cruz early morning on day two. This sample itinerary is based upon the COPA schedule, your personal itinerary could vary slightly.
For those making their own flight arrangements, Trek suggests a 4 hour connection time on both the outbound and return legs of your flights.
About 9:30am, you will be met by Felipe and be transferred 90 minutes by road to Los Guaduales Lodge.
You will have time to get settled in and have lunch before leaving for the afternoon hunt. The drives to the fields are normally 45-90 minutes depending on where the birds are feeding and roosting and the time of the year you are traveling.
Your shotgun shells and pick up boys will be waiting for you when you get to the fields. We will be shooting fields of sorghum, soybeans, sunflowers and peanuts. The hunting season takes place during the dry season so rain is not common but is still possible.
As to how many shells each hunter will shoot, it depends on the hunter. Most hunters can expect to fire between 30-60 boxes of shells per day.

Each of these three mornings, we will have an early breakfast at the lodge and then leave for the fields. Your shotgun, shells and pick up boys will be waiting for you when you get to the fields. Normally, you will shoot all morning, break for lunch and a siesta, and then head back out for the afternoon shoot. As the shooting is normally early in the morning and later in the afternoon, we will return to the lodge between shoots.
Between shoots, at Guaduales, you will have time to relax, take a dip in the pool or enjoy the available spa services. As you have complete Wifi connectivity throughout the lodge, you could get caught up on business matters or emal photos of your morning shoot back to all your envious friends back home.
Each of these three afternoons, we will shoot until dusk, getting back to the lodge in time for you to clean up and enjoy our delicious appetizers and the drink of your choice while dinner is being prepared.
If opting for the 3 shooting day trip, you will shoot a a half day on day 5 and, after lunch, be transferred back to Santa Cruz where you will spend the last night.

After the morning shoot you will have plenty of time to shower, pack, and have lunch at the lodge before returning to Santa Cruz in the late afternoon. Most groups will just have a nice dinner in Santa Cruz before heading to the airport to check in for your flights home. Boliviana departs Santa Cruz about 11pm and COPA departs about 2am.
