Waking to the morning calls of the birds, the day begins with a select cup of coffee and some traditional rusks before embarking on your early morning safari with your guide.

After a delicious afternoon high tea, you can enjoy an evening safari drive. Wind down with sundowners, watch an African sunset and spot the nocturnal animals in the park. On returning to the lodge, you’ll have the opportunity to freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner prepared with modern, fresh, healthy and sophisticated flair, combined with attention to artistic presentation.
Bring your day in the bush to an end with a spot of stargazing at the fire as you trade stories of the day’s sightings over a nightcap. You’ll retire to your private, comfortable room dreaming of doing it all again the next day...
Day 3: Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park
Start your morning with a hot cup of tea or coffee and rusks (a South African favourite) before heading out on the morning safari drive in an open game vehicle with your experienced and knowledgeable guide. Our guides will share their wealth of bush experience, which involves the identification of animals, trees, grasses, insects and birds, the medicinal uses of plants and local folklore.
Enjoy brunch outside on the terrace or in the glass-fronted dining room, then take some time to have a snooze, read, do a few laps in the pool, indulge in a spa treatment or simply relax in the privacy of your room enjoying the endless views from your private balcony.
In the afternoon, you will be invited to come and enjoy high tea. Afterwards you will go with your guide to explore some different areas of the park on your afternoon drive and will be treated to a magnificent african sunset to remember. On return to the lodge, you will have the opportunity to freshen up before having dinner.
As the day comes to an end, you can sit around the bonfire and share the exciting stories of the days’ wildlife encounters with the other guests or retire to your chalet deck and listen as Africa's night chorus unfolds with distant lion roars, hyeanas whooping, or baboons barking at lurking Leopards.
Day 4: End of Itinerary
Your Ranger will awake you with coffee, tea and rusks before heading out into the sunrise to see what has been happening in the dead of night and follow spoor of animals on the move. You will also be lead on foot to discover sights which you would miss from a vehicle. Vervet monkeys, birds in song, this truly is a beautiful way to bring on a new day in South Africa. After your game activity you will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious, hearty breakfast before checking out late morning.
Your driver will return for your private transfer back down the coastline ending with drop off at either King Shaka International Airport or your Umhlanga / Durban hotel at around 3:00 pm.
