Enjoy a hearty breakfast early in the morning before continuing onto Sossusvlei, known for its bright white salt pan surrounded by towering red sand dunes. Famous for its dramatic landscapes and vivid colors, it is a must-visit spot for photography, especially at sunrise and sunset.
Today continue to Swakopmund, a charming coastal town where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Namib Desert. Known for its German colonial architecture, cool sea breeze, and laid-back atmosphere, it offers a unique blend of African and European influences. Visitors are drawn to its wide beaches, adventure activities like sandboarding and quad biking, and attractions such as the jetty and aquarium.
Today you travel to the southern Kunene region of Namibia, also known as Damaraland. Twyfelfontein is a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its extensive collection of ancient rock engravings. Created thousands of years ago by early San people, the carvings depict animals, human figures, and symbolic patterns, offering insight into early human culture and survival.
Today you make your way to your safari lodge located about 25 km south of the Andersson Gate of Etosha National Park. Set among mopane and white seringa trees, it offers a tranquil bush setting with a blend of comfort and authentic Namibian atmosphere. Alongside lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas, Etosha is home to one of the most stable black rhino populations in the world. The Etosha Pan - a flat salt pan covering an area of 5,000 square kilometers - lies in the heart of the park.
Your next destination is the Waterberg Plateau National Park, a striking sandstone plateau rising dramatically above the surrounding plains. Protected within the Waterberg Plateau Park, it is known for its rich biodiversity, including rare and endangered species, as well as lush vegetation fed by natural springs. The area offers scenic hiking trails, breathtaking views from the top, and a sense of isolation, making it a popular destination for nature lovers.
Your last stop is just outside Windhoek. Relax in the peaceful surroundings or join an optional city tour in the afternoon, where you will explore some of the most important highlights of the former colonial city and delve into the city's modern history with sights such as the Tintenpalast, the Christuskirche, the old fortresses, the Imperial Secondary School and Heinitzburg and Sanderburg.
Drive to the airport and return of rental car. Check-in for your flight back home.
