Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative outside the customs and immigration hall will meet you. He will drop you at your Kigali city hotel.



After breakfast, you will be picked up for your city tour. Peacefully nestled along picturesque hilltops, Kigali is a thriving African city immediately notable for its cleanliness, orderliness, and hospitality. Kigali is a great place to begin or end any Rwanda journey, as it’s conveniently located in the geographic centre of the country. The city is clean and safe, with extremely welcoming people. Travelers will enjoy exploring the great cultural activities – including several award-winning museums, a burgeoning music scene, and some of East Africa’s most memorable dining experiences. This tour will take you to the following sites.
KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL CENTRE:
The Kigali Memorial exists as a permanent memorial to those who became victims of the genocide in 1994. It deals with a topic of international importance, with far-reaching significance, and is designed to engage and challenge an international visitor base. Here you will be able to visit the three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide in 1994 and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide.
KIMIRONKO MARKET:
Kimironko market is one of the largest local markets in Kigali, where you will meet our local vegetable vendors and behold the succulent fruit and vegetables and try out your bargaining power at food shopping in Kigali. Here you will get the opportunity to get a feeling of how an African market operates.
INEMA ARTS CENTER:
You will be able to for shop souvenirs to take home to your loved ones. Founded in 2012 by brothers and self-taught painters Emmanuel Nkuranga and Innocent Nkurunziza, Inema Arts Center spurs creativity for personal, social, and economic growth. Nkurunziza and Nkuranga started Inema to tap the untapped potential of art in Rwanda, using creative expression to bring the community and country alive. To provide exposure to creative people and create opportunities for Rwanda's most underserved, to use creativity for a productive livelihood. Today, Inema Arts Center has become a beacon in Rwanda for cultivating creative expression. You will break off for lunch at the historical Hotel Rwanda.
CAMPAIGN AGAINST GENOCIDE MUSEUM (CAG)
Campaign Against Genocide Museum is a museum located in the Parliamentary building. The CAG Museum is housed in the Parliamentary building, which was once known as Conseil National de Development because this building hosted the Rwandan Patriotic. The museum depicts in detail how the Campaign Against Genocide Plan was executed by RPF/A following the withdrawal of UN troops leaving the targeted Tutsi at the mercy of the Genocidaires. It tells the story of how only the RPF/A forces who were in the war of liberation took the unilateral decision to stop Genocide and defeat the Genocidal forces.



Today your day begins early – 06:00 am. Drive to the Bwindi National Park offices for Gorilla Trekking briefing that takes place at 7:00 am. You will then start your walk at 8:00 am. Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range and is the home of the rare mountain gorilla and the rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath, but the high point will be spending an hour with the remarkably peaceful gorillas despite their size and appearance as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting and raising their young. After your trek, you will transfer back to the Lodge to freshen up before your lunch.



In the morning you can enjoy kayaking at the lake before you will be transferred to Kigali for your flight to Nairobi



After an early breakfast, travel to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in the Maasai language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. Transfer to the lodge with a game drive en route and after check-in, enjoy a hot lunch. Later in the evening enjoy a game view drive in this spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets



After early breakfast, enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive. The reserve’s topography is mainly open savannah (grassland) with clusters of acacia trees along the South-eastern area of the park. The Mara and Talek rivers grace the rolling plains of the reserve. Myriad seasonal rivers appear during the rainy season but dry out once the rains are gone. The Mara is home to the richest concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), zebras, antelope, gnus, Oribis, hyenas, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, crocodiles and others. It has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Birdlife is as plentiful as wildlife at the Masai Mara, which boasts over 400 different birds species.



This morning after breakfast you will travel to Nairobi international airport for your departure flight.
