Day 1: Johannesburg

WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA!

Upon your arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be met at the airport international arrivals by your South African representative who will have a signage board with your name (GUAVA TOURS) on it to be easily identified. After you have met you will proceed to your hotel to check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 2: Johannesburg

Thu. 18 Jun 2026

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the day at your own leisure. 

Day 3: Pilanesberg National Park

Fri. 19 Jun 2026

Breakfast and check out of the hotel - you will be met by your guide at the hotel foyer at 08:00 for a private transfer to the lodge via Nelson Mandela House. 

On arrival at the lodge, you will enjoy lunch (time permitting and subject to arrival at the lodge) and a scheduled afternoon game drive. Later dinner will be served at the lodge.

Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. 

Day 4: Pilanesberg National Park

Enjoy all your meals and 2x scheduled game drives at the lodge today. 

Day 5: Knysna

Sun. 21 Jun 2026

Breakfast pack collection and check out of the lodge. You will be met by your guide at the lodge foyer at 06:00 for a private transfer to OR Tambo Int Airport for your flight to George

Upon your arrival at George Airport you will be met by your guide in the domestic arrivals hall with a signage board with your name (GUAVA TOURS) on it to be easily identified.Once you have met you will proceed to the hotel for check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 6: Knysna

Mon. 22 Jun 2026

Breakfast at the hotel - You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area at 08:30 for a Private Full Day Oudtshoorn Tour.  

This route has previously been named "World's Best Road Trip Destination" by CNN!

Highlights: 

  • Cango Caves - this one hour heritage tour commences with information on the real discoverers and inhabitants of the cave and then winds its way through the rest of the Caves’ cultural and historical heritage.
  • Safari Ostrich Farm - for a guided tractor tour where you will get to meet and learn more about these large flightless birds that have had such a big impact on the economy of the town. This tour also takes one hour, after which you can shop for some ostrich leather products in the shop. 

Lunch will be enjoyed at Safari Ostrich Farm Restaurant today.

You will return back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. **note that all the activities are weather permitting on the day**

Breakfast and check out of the hotel - You will be met by your guide at the hotel foyer at 10:00 for a private transfer to Cape Winelands via Fine and Chocolate Tasting . On arrival at the hotel, you will proceed to check in and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 8: Franschhoek

Breakfast at the hotel - You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area at 11:30 for a Wine Tasting 

Home of award-winning wines. Enjoy a wine tasting of thoughtfully crafted flights and seasonal pairings

Highlights: 

  • Spier Wine and Chocolate Pairing 
  • Spier Picnic Lunch (Weather permitting) 

Lunch will be enjoyed at Safari Ostrich Farm Restaurant today.

You will return back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. 

Day 9: Cape Town

Day 10: Cape Town

Fri. 26 Jun 2026

Breakfast at the hotel - You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area at 08:30 for a Private Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour. 

Experience the spectacular natural splendour and abundance of life of the Cape Peninsula. With scenic views to take your breath away and photo opportunities galore this trip also takes you through a World Heritage Site – the Cape Floral Kingdom.

Highlights:

  • Drive along the Atlantic Sea Board passing the beautiful beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay
  • Photo stop at Maidens Cove to take in the views of the Twelve Apostles Mountain range, Camps Bay Beach and Lions Head
  • Stop at Hout Bay Harbour – a busy fishing harbour
  • Chapman’s Peak Drive – known as one of the World’s most beautiful drives (subject to the road been open on the day)
  • Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point with return cape funicular – most South-Western point of Africa and the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula, spectacular scenery
  • Visit the comical African Penguins at Boulders Beach
  • Simon’s Town – home to South Africa’s Naval Base
  • Picturesque drive past Kalk Bay and Muizenberg – see the famous colourful beach huts

You will return back to the hotel at 17:00 and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. **note that all the activities are weather permitting on the day**  

Day 11: Cape Town

Sat. 27 Jun 2026

Breakfast this morning - You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area at 08:00 for a Scheduled Morning Robben Island Cruise and a Private Half Day Afternoon Cape Town City Tour. 

You will depart first to Robben Island where former Nelson Mandela was imprisoned,  learn about Cape Town’s rich history and vibrant cultures.  The day starts exploring one of the World’s Natural Wonders – Table Mountain, also the city’s most iconic and recognisable landmark.

From Table Mountain, your guide will take you back down into the city- where you can enjoy an informative drive around the vibrant City Centre. A number of the Cape’s top attractions, from the imposing Castle of Good Hope to the colourful cottages of the Bo-Kaap with its colourful houses, cobble-stone roads, and friendly locals, there is no better place to take Instagram-worthy pics, visit the beautiful Company Gardens and plenty more.

Highlights: 

  • Robben Island - visit the World Heritage Site which is a unique symbol of the triumph of the human spirit over adversity, suffering and injustice (weather permitting) 
  • Table Mountain Cable Car - visit one of the seven wonders of the world (weather permitting)
  • Drive by: Bo-Kaap, Castle of Good Hope, Company Gardens and other city attractions

You will return back to the hotel at 17:00 to prepare to depart for dinner. Dinner with interactive drumming will be at Gold Restaurant tonight. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
