Day 1: Greater Windhoek

Sat. 1 Mar 2025

Welcome to Namibia!

You will be greeted by your english-speaking driver guide and after an orientation tour of Windhoek you will be transferred to your first overnight stopp, the Progress Guest Farm.

The farm is located on the outskirts of the Namibian capital, embedded in scenic mountain escarpments and boasting beautiful savanna views.

Experience the atmosphere and flair of this rustically adorned establishment and relax on your private veranda, enjoying the views of the surrounding bush landscape and watch a magnificent sundowner or stargaze at night.

Days 2 - 4: Sossusvlei

Sun. 2 Mar 2025 - Tue. 4 Mar 2025

Today you drive to Sossusvlei, one of Namibia's most spectacular landmarks with its red dunes, white salt pan and Deadvlei.
The inspiring landscape, characterised by granite rocks, spectacular views and roaming wildlife, is sure to captivate you.
You will spend three nights at the Kulala Desert Lodge, where an exclusive-use gate gives you early access to Sossusvlei.

A drive through the red dunes at sunset or in the early morning to explore the masterpiece of sand is breathtaking. The orange-coloured sand dunes are among the highest and oldest in the world and are a breathtaking sight early in the morning and the best photo material. At the top of the ridge, the view stretches from the rolling dunes around you to the green ribbon of river trees in the distance and the purple-blue seeming mountains.

Hike along the 30-metre deep Sesriem Canyon, where water has carved through the rock over millennia or take a leisurely stroll near camp on the Tsauchab River Trail.

Your daily included scheduled activities offer you ample opportunities to discover this mesmerizing landscape.

Days 5 - 6: Swakopmund

Wed. 5 Mar 2025 - Thu. 6 Mar 2025

From the interior of the Namib Naukluft, you will travel through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyon and the lunar landscape to the coast to Swakopmund, where you will spend the next two nights at the Strand Hotel Swakopmund.

Swakopmund is located in the Erongo region of Namibia. The largest coastal town in Namibia is a major attraction for holidaymakers from all over the world. The seaside resort shows its German origins in its European colonial architecture, which stands in stark contrast to the landscape of the Namib Desert.
Admire the lighthouse, the pier and the railway station on a tour with your driver guide.

A Classic Sandwich Harbour Experience is also booked for you: Sandwich Harbour is situated 64 km south of Walvis Bay and was an attractive destination for seafarers for fresh water, meat, whaling and fishing. Today it is best known for its abundance of birds and the breathtaking dune landscape where the dune meets the sea.

Surrounded by towering dunes, the bay lies on the northern shore. The stormy sea has swollen its shores and invaded the former freshwater lagoon, polluting it with salt water. The mouth of Sandwich Bay has silted up again and is one of the reasons why it was never suitable as a harbour. Furthermore, the Namib Sand Sea with its red dune belt stretches to the horizon and offers breathtaking views of the dunes.
