ARRIVAL KIGALI

• VIP Meet and Greet at the airport, fast track and assistance with visa and luggage

MORNING LEISURE OR EXPLORE KIGALI - SCHEDULED HELICOPTER FLIGHT TO AKAGERA – MAGASHI CAMP

• You can have a breakfast and leisure morning OR optional explore with your guide Kigali by visiting genocide memorial, local market, fashion, jewelry or souvenir shops, city tour, local food workshop, guided walk, (based on personal wishes)
• Lunch in Kigali (own account) and scheduled helicopter flight to Magashi (1.30 PM)
• Afternoon safari activity offered by the lodge

SAFARI ACTIVITIES AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK FROM THE LODGE

• Morning breakfast 
• Enjoy activities provided by the lodge / 2 activities per day

MORNING SAFARI – SCHEDULED HELI FLIGHT TO KIGALI

• Morning breakfast and enjoy your last safari activity in the park
• Lunch at the lodge and check out.
• Scheduled Helicopter flight to Kigali (2.45 PM)
• Transfer to your hotel and rest of day at leisure if you wish.  Alternatively, our guide and vehicle is available if you want to visit and explore Kigali.  Recommended:
  • experience a typical Rwanda coffee Masterclass including a tasting with high quality specialty grade coffees from different regions of Rwanda and various processing methods
  • Walk around with a local guide in a vibrant neighbourhood of Rwanda and see the local daily life, shops, bars, market etc.
  • Visit a local Art Café and some Art galleries
  • Visit the famous Rwandan fashion and jewellery designers

TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE (RAINFOREST) NATIONAL PARK

• After breakfast you will enjoy a helicopter flight from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park (max 360 kg bodyweight and luggage). 
• Alternatively, you can enjoy a road transfer to the lodge with lunch on the way in Kibuye (a la cart – own account)
• Proceed to Nyungwe and check in at your lodge
• Afternoon leisure or enjoy activities offered by the lodge

PRIMATES TREKKING AND EXPLORE THE FOREST – CANOPY WALK

• Early morning breakfast
• Transfer to the Park office for briefing and meet your local ranger
• Hike through the forest with local ranger searching for primates. Nyungwe has 13 primates which include Angolan Colobus, L’Hoest monkey, Owl faced monkey, Blue monkey, Dent’s Mona Monkey, Vervet monkeys.
• Lunch at your Lodge
• Afternoon: enjoy the forest in 2 hours hike and explore the 60m long canopy walk

TREKKING WITH RANGER TO SPOT THE CHIMPANZEES IN THE FOREST

• Early morning breakfast
• Transfer to the Park office for briefing
• Chimpanzee trekking with local ranger and porters to spot the chimpanzee in the forest
• Lunch at your Lodge
• Afternoon leisure at the lodge or enjoy activities offered by the lodge

VIP HELICOPTER FLIGHT TO VOLCANOES N.P.

• Morning breakfast
• VIP Helicopter flight to Volcanoes NP (Singita airstrip) and enjoy the stunning view of the forest, lake Kivu entering the Five volcanoes from above
• Check in and lunch at the lodge
• Afternoon leisure at the lodge
• Optional: Afternoon meet with a gorilla doctor at their compound who will give you an introduction of how they take care of giant gorillas and other primates in Rwanda and explain you everything about conservancy and development of gorilla’s in the national park

HIKE AND MEET THE MOUNTAIN SILVERBACK GORILLA FAMILY

• Early morning Breakfast
• Transfer to headquarters for a briefing to prepare for your trekking
• Hike with local ranger to find the gorilla family and spend max. 1 hour with them.  The hike can take between 1 - 8 hours, depending on how long it takes to find the gorilla family.
• The operator will offer a free porter per person who will assist you with your daypack, and give you hand when the path is slippery, steep or irregular. The porters are from the local community and registered by the Rwanda Wildlife Authority, in this way we also support the local community.
• Lunch at your lodge and leisure afternoon

GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING (OR 2th GORILLA TREKKING)

• Early morning breakfast
• Transfer to headquarters for a briefing to prepare for your trekking
• Golden monkey trekking  or optional second gorilla trekking (permits for gorilla trekking must be booked in advance at an additional cost)
• Optional: visit Diane Fossey museum, visit local cultural village, guided canoe trip at Mukungwa river
• Lunch at your lodge
• Afternoon leisure at the lodge

TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI – DEPARTURE

• Early morning Breakfast
• Check out (latest 11.00 AM)
• Transfer back to Kigali International Airport to connect on your international flight.  Alternatively, you can enjoy a helicopter flight back to the airport (additional cost).
