COVID-19: ACTIVITIES & SERVICES

Day 1: Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a SA360 representative and privately transferred to your hotel.

After arrival and check-in you are free to explore hotel facilities on your own or make use of complimentary shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront.

Day 2: Cape Town

After breakfast,  we reccomend touring the  City on and visiting the Cape's top attractions, from Table Mountain to the imposing Castle of Good Hope to the colourful cottages of the Bo Kaap, the bustling Green Market Square, the South African Museum, and the beautiful Company Gardens.

Should the cableway up Table Mountain not be operating you can visit Table View for a “postcard view” of Table Mountain. 

Spend your afternoon at leisure visiting Camps Bay, taking a leisurely stroll along the  beach or visiting the Promenade Mall before settling to dinner at the array of restaurants on offer.

Day 3: Cape Town

After breakfast we recommend a self-drive along the ruggedly beautiful Cape Peninsula. See all the top sights along South Africa’s Cape Peninsula on this full-day tour from Cape Town. Explore Hout Bay and take an optional boat trip to Duiker Island (own expense). Spend time at leisure in Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and take a return Funicular trip to the top of Cape Point and visit Simon’s Town on the peninsula’s east coast - home to a colony of African penguins! On the drive back you may have time to stop for a walk at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

This evening you are at leisure, we can recommend spending some time at the V&A Waterfront which has a wide variety of shops, entertainment and restaurants on offer. 

  

Day 4: De Kelders

After breakfast, you will drive  via Cape Winelands and the scenic route on R44 to the coastal town of Hermanus which is known as the home of the Southern Right Whales.  Enjoy the drive along the coast passing Strand, Gordons Bay, Pringle Bay and Bettys Bay, We recommend stopping at Stony Point to view the Penguins and Harold Porter Botanical gardens and one of the many restaurants along the way before checking in at your hotel after 14:00.  You are free to explore the town which includes the beaches such as Voelklip and Grotto Beaches, the Old Harbour Museum as well as the many adventure activities on offer such as Shark Cage Diving, Ziplining and Quad Biking. 

You will have your choice of restaurants to  choose for dinner as Hermanus has been named UNESCO City of Gastronomy.

Day 5: Oudtshoorn

After breakfast, you will depart to Oudtshoorn, located in heart of the scenic the Klein Karoo known for its ostrich farms and rests along the Route 62 wine route. Here you will enjoy visiting the famous Cango Caves (Africa’s Biggest show cave system before proceeding onto Cango Wildlife Ranch and ending the day feeding ostriches at Safari Ostrich Farm. After the tour you will return to Knysna and end your evening by enjoying a delicious dinner offered by the Hotel or a nearby Restaurant.

Day 6: Plettenberg Bay

Before breakfast we recommend opting for a wild habituated meerkat tours. These tours commence only at sunrise and are dependent on fair weather, since these little creatures will not venture outside their burrows on cold and rainy days.

After breakfast, proceed to Plettenberg Bay, more commonly known as "Plett"by the locals, a lovely seaside town along the Garden Route which boasts sandy beach and the Robberg Nature Reserve to the North. Along the way you will pass George,  Wilderness and Knysna which provide perfect opportunities for sight-seeing and a lunch stop. Check into the hotel after 14:00 and spend the afternoon at your leisure enjoying the breathtaking views of the Surrounding Valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains.  As the day ends and the full splendor of the African stars shine down on the deck, dinners start - out at the boma - in a festive atmosphere. After serving tasty little treats to whet the appetite, our hosts invite you in to wine and dine in the main house.

Day 7: Plettenberg Bay

After breakfast you are at leisure to explore the town of which is a playground for adventures and activities  offering a great range of attractions and things to do – from whale-watching to deep sea fishing to skydiving to hiking and other forest adventures, surfing, kayaking, black water tubing to horse-riding…to mention a few. We recommend a stop at Kay and Monty's located on The Plett Wine Route in a beautiful setting for a languid lunch offering delicious, locally sourced items and their own wines. After the days activities return to the hotel to enjoy the sunset and dinner or venture out to one of the nearby restaurants.

Day 8: Amakhala Game Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart to  passing Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy a walk on the suspension bridge, bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge.

Upon arrival the Lodge's friendly staff will make you feel at home, while you slowly sip away on a refreshing drink. Indulge in sheer relaxation as you unwind next to the pool overlooking the lush African bushveld before they usher you away on an exciting BIG-5 game drive and end the evening with a dinner at the Lodge.

Day 9: Amakhala Game Reserve

An early start to the morning includes a hot cup of tea or coffee before proceeding on the first game drive of the day. The wildlife reserve is set n a mix of grassland, fynbos, valley bushveld and sub-tropical vegetation which is home to African game such at the Big Five, zebras, giraffes, and numerous antelopes. Upon returning to the Lodge you will enjoy a warm breakfast before enjoying the Lodge facilities, before proceeding to Lunch.  Embark on your second game drive of the day once again ending with a delicious dinner at the Lodge.

Day 10: End of Itinerary

This being your last morning, you will start with a warm beverage and morning game drive (time permitting) and end with a delicious breakfast at the  lodge before transferring on the shared shuttle to Port Elizabeth Airport for your departure flight.
