Cusco & Machu Picchu express 5D/4N STD Itinerary 2026

Take an early flight from Lima to Cusco (flight not included). Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

In the afternoon, explore the city on a guided tour. Visit the Koricancha Sun Temple, the impressive Cusco Cathedral, and nearby Inca sites including Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, and Tambomachay. It’s a great introduction to the history and culture of the region.

After breakfast, leave Cusco and head into the beautiful Sacred Valley.

Visit the colorful Pisac market and nearby Inca ruins. Continue to Awana Kancha, where you’ll learn about llamas, alpacas, and traditional Andean weaving. Enjoy a local lunch with a Quechua family in Urubamba, then visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo.

Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

After breakfast, board the train to Aguas Calientes, a scenic journey through the Andes.

From there, continue up to Machu Picchu with your guide. Explore the site on Circuit 2A, including the agricultural terraces, main temples, Sacred Stone, and Guard House viewpoint.

After the visit, return to Aguas Calientes and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.

Note: If Circuit 2A is not available, an alternative route will be arranged.

Enjoy a free morning to relax or explore further.

You may choose an optional second visit to Machu Picchu or hike Wayna Picchu for stunning views. In the afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a transfer to Cusco.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

If time allows, enjoy a final walk around Cusco before leaving. It’s a great city to explore at your own pace.
