Settle into your apartments and using it as your base, enjoy your days exploring the myriad of attractions around the "Mother City"! From scenic drives along the coast, cable-car rides up the famous Table Mountain, delicious cuisine at incredible restaurants, time spent with the wild penguins at Boulder's Beach, picnics and tours in the Cape Point Nature Reserve or Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, to open-air fresh local markets, forest and mountains hikes and even surfing or diving... there really is SO much to do and see, you will never be bored! Leaving Cape Town, you head out of the city, through beautiful country landscapes to the Overberg region.
Staying a night at the coastal town of Hermanus, you can enjoy exploring this Walker Bay area which is often a safe harbour for the Southern Right Whales at this time of year! A lovely fresh walk along the cliff-paths will hopefully give you some great sightings of these incredible creatures, close to the shore.
Dine tonight in-house at the hotel or at some of Hermanus' great restaurants.
Check out of the Harbour House apartment and take a leisurely drive up the Garden Route passing by orchards and farmland to the thriving holiday town of Knysna (approx. 5hrs), stopping for lunch along the way. Plettenberg Bay is located just 30min further up the coast - enjoy the endless beach for walks, warm waves for boogieboarding and dolphin cruises. In-between Knysna and Plett you will find many enjoyable activities for the whole family such as the Elephant Sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, treetop canopy rides, segway tours through the forest, bungie jumping and much more!
Your adventures take you a little further up the beautiful and dramatic coastline, to the Tsitsikamma Forest and Stormsriver Mouth region.
