Arrival to Puerto Lopez – Make your own way to the small beach town of Puerto Lopez to check into the hotel in the afternoon. Free time to relax and a delicious dinner to settle in.
Isla de la plata – A full day exploring Isla de la plata. The island is famous for the legend of Sir Francis Drake who is said to have left buried treasure here. Today it is often compared to the Galapagos Islands and is visited for the wealth of wildlife that inhabits the island and reefs. The day includes trekking with a naturalist guide, wildlife observation and snorkelling – in July / August you also stand an excellent chance of spotting humpback whales too!

Machalilla National Park – In the morning we visit the tiny community of Agua Blanca to see the interesting ruins of the Salangome Chiefdom. The afternoon takes us to the gorgeous beaches and rocky cliffs of Los Frailes.
