This flight is not every day but avoids having to transfer the next day across town to the domestic airport (Aeroparque) for a flight to Cordoba arriving flare inn the day. There are also other options on Copa Airlines directly into Cordoba via Panama City, Panama or on Latam Airlines via Santiago, Chile. We highly suggest to contact Shaun McKanna in our travel department for you best flight options.

Day 2: Cordoba Province

Arriving Buenos Aires with connections at EZE

Upon arriving Ezeiza International (EZE)  on Aerolineas you will clear Customs and immigrations connections and check into your flight to Cordoba later this morning.  After arriving Cordoba the staff from La Portenita will meet you and make the 1-hr drive north to the lodge followed by room assignments and lunch. Then the fun begins with a warm-up dove shoot in the afternoon.

For those who are arriving EZE in Buenos Aires on a different airline carrier you will be met by our transfer people in B.A. and driven across town to Aeroparque (AEP) for your flight to Cordoba. This transfer can take a slowing as an hour or more.

Arriving Cordoba directly

Upon arrival in Cordoba, you will clear immigrations, grab your luggage and proceed through customs. Once you clear customs, you will exit into the main airport terminal where a staff member from La Portenita will be waiting to greet you. From there, you will have a 1-hr transfer to the lodge, get settled, enjoy lunch and head out for your afternoon shoot.

*Please Note - during the fall & winter months in Argentina and in order to get your afternoon of shooting in on arrival day, you will head straight to the field for lunch and hunting.

Days 3 - 4: Cordoba Province

These will be full hunting days with overnights at La Portenita. A typical shooting day at La Portenita starts after a sumptuous breakfast, with departure to the fields by 8 AM. The shooting fields at each Lodge are carefully rotated and rested to assure maximum bird numbers. The driving distance to the fields ranges between 15 and 50 minutes in our luxury 15 passenger vans with air conditioning, refreshments and two-way radios. Each client shoots with their own experienced professional bird boy, who will act as a loader, retrieve downed birds and keep cool drinks ready. Shooting continues until noon, when the group gathers in a shady grove of trees for a traditional Argentine asado (barbecue) complemented with salads, gourmet desserts and fantastic wines. After lunch and an optional siesta, the shoot continues until approximately 6 PM. Upon returning to the lodge, relax with drinks and hearty hors d’oeuvres while preparing for dinner.

Day 5: Overnight Travel

This will be your last morning shoot followed by settling your account and transfer to Cordoba International and your flight back to the U.S.
