Day 1: Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, after disembarking from the aircraft, you clear customs and immigration formalities. You will be met and assisted by a local representative. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Giraffe Manor on half board basis.

Day 2: Laikipia

Breakfast at Giraffe Manor. Transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight departing to Nanyuki Airstrip. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be me by camp vehicle. Game drive en-route to your camp. Lunch at your camp. Afternoon game drive. 

Day 3: Laikipia

Segera is centrally positioned in the heart of Laikipia, one of Africa’s – and the world’s – most exciting safari destinations, boasting the second highest density of wildlife in Kenya.

During your safari on Segera, you can expect to see herds of elephant and buffalo, predators such as lion, leopard or cheetah, plains game including multiple species of antelope and zebra, important populations of Reticulated giraffe, Lelwel’s hartebeest and sometimes our protected endangered species of Grevy’s zebra, Patas monkey and African Wild Dog.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast at your camp. Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight departing to Wilson Airport. Upon arrival  you will connect on to you scheduled flight departing to the Masai land. Red-clad, with spear Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Upon arrival you will be met by camp driver. Transfer to your camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of wildlife. 

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

Today and tomorrow, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game. The “big five” – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are quite common. Today you may opt for an early morning balloon excursion to experience the panoramic Mara from a birds-eye view (optional and not included in the price).

Day 7: Singita Serengeti Grumeti

Fly to Serengeti National Park

Breakfast at the camp. Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Serengeti via Migori. The flight departs  Migori Airstrip; here you will be met and transferred by road to the Kenya/Tanzania border. Clear customs and immigration formalities on both sides of the border.  Proceed by road to Tarime Airstrip . Your flight departs  from Tarime Airstrip to Serengeti. On arrival you will be met by the camp driver/guide at the Sasakwa Airstrip. Enjoy a short game drive en route to the camp. The vast grasslands of the renowned Serengeti National Park provide what many consider to be the quintessential African game viewing experience. Meaning ‘endless plains’ in the language of the Maasai, this land of immense open spaces is home to literally millions of large herbivores, as well as the accompanying carnivores. The Serengeti is renowned for having the largest concentration of migratory animals in the world, and is also famous for its large lion population. The Serengeti National Park forms part of a huge conservation area, encompassing the adjacent Ngorongoro Conservation Area, as well as the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. With no fences or man-made barriers, huge numbers of wildlife move freely throughout this area. Arrive at camp at sunset after the afternoon game drive to enjoy your dinner and retire for the night.

Day 8: Singita Serengeti Grumeti

Today & tomorrow: two full days in the Serengeti National Park

Depending on your preference, there are a couple of options with regards to how your day is structured. One option is to break camp early and head out with a picnic breakfast returning to camp in time for lunch. Alternatively, you can eat breakfast in camp and head out with picnic lunch returning in the mid-afternoon. Despite sharing vehicles on a game package basis, the camp will do everything it can to ensure that your ideal structure is met.

Day 10: Karatu

After breakfast at your lodge, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your schedule flight to Manyara airstrip. Upon arrival you will be met by the lodge vehicle. Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands to your lodge situated near the crater rim. The crater covers over 102 square miles (250 square kilometres) of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Lunch at your lodge. Afternoon spend at leisure. 

Day 11: Karatu

Today you will descend 600m (0ver 2000 feet) to the floor of the crater for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch boxes. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. 

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Breakfast at your lodge. Drive to Lake Manyara airstrip for your schedule flight to Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival connect on to your schedule flight to Wilson Airport. When you arrive in Nairobi at 14h45, you will be met and transferred to JKI Airport for your home bound flight.
