Take a quiet walk through the forest while catching sight of the incredible lake and mountains, will be the best way to approach Patagonia. This walk in the forest goes through a trail with gentle slopes that allows you to see Coihues, cypresses and other native trees. The path leads to a viewpoint of Nahuel Huapi Lake, ideal to admire stunning landscapes. There, glaciers in the high mountains, native forests, and islands that unfold in the arms of the lake tell a story of thousands of years.

Visit the charming town of Cafayate via Quebrada de las Conchas with BBQ lunch and wine tasting
We will drive out of the city of Salta towards the Lerma Valley admiring the amazing foothills of the Andes Mountains. We will then drive through the breathtaking Quebrada de las Conchas. We will stop at different points to observe the rock formations.
After leaving the canyon, we will enter the Calchaquí Valleys and Cafayate. Cafayate has become known for its boutique wineries and vineyards of high-altitude malbec or torrontés. We will visit El Porvenir Winery and Bodega Nanni, to learn the differences between these wines and Mendoza wines.
We will enjoy a barbecue lunch and local wines.
After breakfast, we will leave from your hotel in Salta and head west to enter the Puna, a remote high-altitude desert where the natives long ago adapted to the harsh conditions of extreme temperature changes and thin air. Towns like San Antonio de los Cobres carry on some of the Inca traditions. Pachamama and Inti Raymi ceremonies, for example, are celebrated with as much fervour as Easter and Christmas in Western cultures.
Today you will visit Quebrada del Toro, San Antonio de los Cobres, Salinas Grandes and Quebrada de Humahuaca. You will finish your day in Pumamarca.
