When you have completed all the vehicle collection procedures, self-drive to The Olive Exclusive All-Suite Hotel in Windhoek where you will spend the night.
Time permitting, you can embark on an optional 3 hour Windhoek City & Township Tour.
The Windhoek City & Township tour includes a stunning view over Windhoek from the famous Lover’s Hill while you get to know the comprehensive history of Windhoek and Namibia from colonial era to modern day. Visit the Christ Church, Ink Palace, Parliament Gardens, and the Old Fort before heading into the township of Katutura to meet the people, taste of local delicacies and learn the history of Windhoek and it's people.
Dinner at Joe's Beerhouse, one of Windhoek's well-loved and eclectic restaurant where locals go to unwind and have fun, is highly a recommended optional activity.

After enjoying your breakfast and all checkout procedures are completed, self-drive from The Olive Exclusive All-Suite Hotel in Windhoek to The Delight Hotel in Swakopmund.
Driving time: Approximately 4-hour drive from Windhoek to Swakopmund. The distance is about 355 km.
Set on the west coast of Namibia, Swakopmund is fondly known for its colonial charm and relaxed atmosphere. Here, a plethora of activities from quad-biking or sand-boarding on the dunes to Catamaran cruises on the lagoon while enjoying oysters and champagne awaits you.
After check-in at the hotel, why not explore this coastal town on foot, visiting some of the many sidewalk cafés and boutique stores as well as enjoying a leisurely stroll along the beach while savoring the sunset.

Enjoy your scrumptious breakfast at the hotel before heading out to on the Dolphin & Seal Cruise.
The boats depart at 09:00 (check-in is at 08:30) every morning from the Walvis Bay Waterfront. The cruise offers you the opportunity to search for the marine big 5, i.e. whales (seasonal), dolphins, mola, leatherback turtle and seals. Return to the Waterfront is at approximately 12:30.
The rest of the afternoon is at leisure or join one of the man optional adventure tours on offer in Swakopmund.

- Half Day Living Desert Tour - This is a unique 4×4 drive adventure into the scenic desert dunes outside of Swakopmund that offers outstanding scenic photography and an insight into the special creatures which thrive in seemingly impossible arid conditions.
Collection for the Welwitschia Moon Landscape Tour (minimum 4 guests required for departure), will be at 2.30pm.
This tour takes you eastward from Swakopmund into the Namib Desert along the banks of the Swakop River. The River has carved out deep canyons into the granite rock, producing spectacular landscapes known as the Moon Landscapes. This tour focuses on geology; desert adapted plant life (oldest living plant Welwitschia mirabilis), and animals big and small.
After breakfast and checkout, depart on a scenic self-drive from The Delight Hotel in Swakopmund to Le Mirage Resort & Spa in Sossusvlei via C14 then connecting on C19.
Driving time: Approximately 5 hour drive from Swakopmund to Sossusvlei. The distance is about 403 km.
Situated in the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Africa's largest conservation area, Sossusvlei is characterized by its monumental rust-red dunes and white salt pans. The dunes in Sossusvlei are some of the highest in the world. The tallest dune, renowned as Big Daddy, is 325 metres and overlooks the Dead Vlei, a white pan filled with the dark fossils of camelthorn trees while the more famous and most photographed Dune 45 is 80 metres tall.
On arrival at the lodge this afternoon and upon completion check-in procedures, you can opt to relax by the pool and unwind with a drink after a long drive. Alternatively, you can book an optional couples spa treatment with magnificent views to relax and refresh you.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and embark on a 2 hour quad bike excursion this afternoon.
The quad bike trails will take you to some unique spots and the guide will inform you on the hidden secrets of the desert like the fairy circles. Your afternoon quad-bike tour will end with a striking sundowner overlooking the Namib Desert. You will drive by yourself accompanied by the lodge's guide. The tour is easily accessible, so you do not have to be an experienced driver.
Other optional activities available are:
Sossusvlei Drives - Sossusvlei is one of the main attractions of Namibia. Along the way you will see some of the worlds highest dunes, some petrified dunes and the Sesriem Canyon. Drive on your own or join a guided drive from the Lodge. Only a few kilometres before the end of the road you will find Dune 45, one of the more accessible dunes in Sossusvlei. You are free to climb this dune; it is not an easy task but the view from the top will make it worth your while. Don’t forget to wear closed shoes and take enough water before commencing this journey. Once you’ve arrived at the end of the tarred road you can only continue with a 4×4. This 5 km 4×4 route is real fun to drive yourself, just follow the tracks of the other cars, this will take you to the Dead Vlei parking. From there you walk about 1.1 km over the dunes to reach Dead Vlei which is one of the most magical places in the world. This pan used the be a lake that dried out hundreds of years ago. Take enough water and try to do this early morning or late afternoon as temperatures peak around midday.
Hot Air Ballooning - This adventure begins early in the morning, before sunrise. You will be collected from Le Mirage and driven to the take-off area. Once the balloon is airborne, you drift silently over the dunes for about an hour. The views of the Namib Desert are exceptional. On landing (wherever the wind has taken you), a champagne breakfast will be served. After the champagne breakfast you will be brought back to the lodge.
