Wat Traimit is home to the world's largest solid gold Buddha, measuring nearly five meters in height and five and half tons in weight. Next we continue to Wat Pho, Bangkok's largest temple with enormous reclining golden Buddha inside. Wat Pho is also well known for its Thai massage school. Our next highlight is the without doubt the most famous landmark of the city, the Royal Palace. Built in 1782, and for 150 years the home of the King of Thailand, the Royal Court and the administrative seat of Government. The Grand Palace in Bangkok is an ancient building that continues to impress its visitors with its beautiful architecture and detail. Within the temple complex we visit "Wat Phra Kaew" the Temple of the Emerald Buddha which is considered as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. After Royal Palace spend rest of the afternoon free shopping or exploring Bangkok at your own pace. In order to avoid traffic jams we recommend using BTS and MRT public transport or boats that run through the city along small hidden canals. Your guide will be happy to help with making plans.
After breakfast transfer to airport for your flight to Chiang Rai. Your local guide will welcome you at the Chiangrai airport.
