Johannesburg - Windhoek
After arrival in Windhoek you will meet your local tour guide and then you will see the highlights like "Tintenpalast" and the "Christuskirche" during an orientation tour.
Windhoek - Etosha Region
On your way to Etosha you visit a local craft market where you can enjoy some souvenir shopping. In the afternoon we will visit a Himba village. The Himba are sure a source of fascination with their old traditions and manners. You will learn about their culture and practices.
Etosha Region - Ondangwa
The Etosha Park is due to the salt pan which can be seen from space a unique National Park. You will do a full-day game drive by coach and enjoy the beauty of this park.
Ondangwa - Lubango
Today you have to leave early for the border crossing to Angola. You continue your drive through the countryside and small villages. Everywhere are friendly people and amazing baobab trees - each one bigger than the other one. On the sides of the roads you find wrecks of cars, trucks and tanks being a leftover from the civil war. The destination for today is Lubango.
Lubango - Namibe
Today you leave for Namibe at the coast. The first adventure is the Serra da Leba mountain pass. The pass has to cover 1000m in height in hairpin bends going left and right down the pass. Along the pass there are several viewpoints where you can see the road winding along the mountain. It is an adventure driving the road. The afternoon is at leisure.
Namibe
Today you have a full day for the amazing landscape around Namibe. You will leave Namibe and drive into the desert until all of a sudden you will arrive at Las Colinas. The big towers carved by nature reach up to 25 meters high. Shaped for centuries by wind, the rocky monuments colour the region in beautiful shades of red and produce gigantic leftovers on the desert floor. After that you will go to Arco a freshwater oasis in the middle of the desert. You will go on a walk around the shores of the lake with great views.
Namibe - Lubango
Today you will drive back to Lubango again - up the Serra da Leba pass. In Lubango you will go on a city tour and see the highlights of the city. The first stop is Cristo Rei - the statue of Christ being 300m above the city of Lubango. From here you will have an amazing 180degree view onto the city with the 30m tall statue behind you. Afterwards you will drive to Tundavala. Tundavala is a breathtaking gorge cut out and the cliffs have a height of some 1000ms going down. The views over The Valley with the rock formations is just absolutely incredible! On the way back you will stop
at a wide plain with moonscape of weird shaped rocks. The rocks seem to be out on top of each other - all done by nature.
Lubango
Today you will visit the Mumuila tribe. You will go to the local supermarket to buy some goods for the tribe. Then you drive south and out of town again till we reached the Mumuila tribe. You will visit the tribe and see their traditional clothes - covered in beaded colorful necklaces their traditional outfit only allowed them to wear skirts and the necklaces. They are really colorful and pretty with the necklaces. They will sit down and your guide will explain their tradition and culture.
Lubango -Ondangwa
Today you will leave Angola again and drive back to Namibia.
Ondangwa - Rundu
Lean back and enjoy your journey through beautiful landscapes heading up north towards the Caprivi Strip - it looks completely different than the rest of Namibia with the green grass and the many rivers and lakes.
Rundu - Caprivi Strip
Continue your drive through the Bwabwata National Park and watch out for elephants crossing your way. In the afternoon you can relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise and see a lot of hippos.
Caprivi Strip - Kasane/Chobe National Park
Travel to Kasane in Botswana and do a sunset cruise on the Chobe river where you can see a lot of animals if you are lucky. Especially hippos, crocodiles and a lot of birds. Sometimes you can even see elephants bathing in the river.
Kasane/Chobe National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive through Chobe National Park. Chobe is famous for its large herds of elephants and the Chobe river supplies the surrounding nature with water.
Kasane/Chobe National Park - Victoria Falls
Visit the fascinating and impressive Victoria Falls, today. With a width of 1708 m and a high of 108m they form the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. In the evening you can experience a so called Boma-Dinner with good food and traditional inspired entertainment.
