Day 1: Galapagos Islands

You will arrive to mainland and have a private the first visting point, Highlands of Santa Curz where you will see the transition between different vegetation from the arid to transition zone. Visit Rancho Primicias, a farm in the highlands to look out for the Galapagos Tortoises in liberty. Then you will be transferred to the cruise at Puerto Ayora to settle in and rest.

Day 2: Galapagos Islands

The next day, after an early breakfast, you will visit Española Island, that is one of the oldest of Galapagos Archipelago. A great number of endemic species can be found here. Here, you will go to Playa Gardner, a white beach made of coral sand, and it’s a good place to observe finches and mockingbirds. You will also have the possibility to swim and snorkel from the beach. Lunch on board. Then, you will go to Punta Suarez, that consists of a rocky trail where you will see Española marine iguanas and Galapagos Sea Lions. This trail leads to the nesting colonies of blue footed boobies, Nazca boobies and albatross. Return to the cruise and dinner.

Day 3: Yacht Angelito I

After breakfast the wet landing takes place on a beach with a big sea lion colony, and a short trail that leads you through dry vegetation to a wonderful forested cliff. You will have the opportunity to see the endemic land iguana of Santa Fe. After lunch on board, you will land at South Plaza, a small uplifted island with a 25 meters high cliff. You will see a big colony of Galapagos sea lions in the northern coast, and you will also watch the pear cactus trees and a big colony of land iguanas. Return to the cruise and dinner.

Day 4: Yacht Angelito I

At the beginning of this day you will go into the big protected mangrove cove, and once the motor of the dinghy is turned off, you may observe the marine turtles. You may also spot eagle rays, golden rays and white –tipped reef sharks. After lunch, you will head to las Bachas, a white coral beach in the north of Santa Cruz Island, where you will visit water lagoons where it is possible to observe flamingos and other coastal birds like white cheeked pintail ducks. Dinner onboard.

Day 5: Yacht Angelito I

Early start after breakfast. The day begins at Mosquera, a small sandy island located between North Seymour and Baltra and where you will see one of the biggest sea lion colonies in Galapagos. After lunch, you will head to Cerro Dragon, a very scenic visiting point. You will see a flamingo lagoon and then a prickly cactus forest, to end with a visit to where the land iguanas nesting place. Return to the yacht and dinner.

Day 6: Yacht Angelito I

The day begins at Tagus Cove, that used to be a resting site for early pirates and whalers. After a hike uphill you arrive to Darwin lake, a saltwater crater lake. Return to the dinghy and sail through the cliffs to look out for Galapagos penguins and flightless cormorants. After lunch, head to Punta Espinoza for a hike where you will see marine iguanas in big groups. You will also see nesting places for flightless cormorants, lava lizards, Galapagos hawks and marine turtles. Return to the yacht and dinner.

Day 7: Yacht Angelito I

The day begins at Urbina Bay – Isabela Island, where you will see flightless cormorant and marine iguanas. Sometimes it is also possible to see Galapagos tortoises along the pathway. After lunch, head to Elizabeth bay, and after turning the motor off, you will have a dinghy ride to observe marine turtles.

Day 8: Yacht Angelito I

Early in the morning we hike on the rough lava field of Punta Moreno, where you can see three species of cacti. Find some brackish water pools with flamingos and white cheeked pintail ducks, and also Galapagos penguins and marine iguanas. Then, navigate to Puerto Villamil for some whale watching.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

For the last day, there are 2 options. You either go to Puerto Villamil, after which you will be transfered to Puerto Ayora and then Baltra for your flight back OR you will have an excursion to Sierra Negra and end services at Villamil at 4:30pm, no flight option.
