Day 1: Greater Windhoek

On arrival in Windhoek, collect your vehicle at the rental company at the Hosea Kutako International Airport and drive to the capital city Windhoek or travel to one of the recommended establishments outside of Windhoek. Remainder of day at leisure; you can explore Windhoek at your own pace or relax at your establishment booked for the night.

Days 2 - 4: Sesriem

Drive through the mountains of the Khomas Hochland into the low plains of the Namib Desert to Sossusvlei Dunes. Arrive at Le Mirage Resort & Spa, where you will stay for three nights whilst you can explore the remarkable sights of the Namib Desert.

Days 5 - 6: Swakopmund

An early departure heading north-west through Walvis Bay to the Swakopmund.

Optional:  Experience a breath taking Trip into the Namib Desert where you will be introduced to the typical Desert-Life which can be found in the Dunes around Swakopmund. You will learn about Plant Life, Minerals, all the animals around, and you will experience a Dune-Drive. Animals which are possible (not guaranteed) to be seen are Sidewinders, Palmato Geckoes, Namaqua Chameleons, Fitz Simon's Burrowing Skinks, sand-diving Lizards, Scorpions, to name just a few. Experience Dolphins swimming alongside our sailing catamaran, Seals playing around, Sunfish sharing the secrets of the depths and shy Leatherback Turtles surfacing. In season we also have Humpback Whales and Southern Right Whales breaching about. Cruising Back - Lunch is served! How better to round off a perfect morning with Oysters and Sparkling Wine, followed by our trademark platters with savoury snacks, coffee/tea and cakes.

Days 7 - 8: Twyfelfontein

Early departure from Swakopmund traveling through part of the Skeleton Coast via Uis arriving at Mowani Mountain Camp in the afternoon. 

Days 9 - 10: Etosha West

Today after breakfast you continue on the next adventure, venturing north to the Hobatere Lodge, a joint venture tourism concession that is owned by the #Khoadi //Hoas Conservancy.

 

Days 11 - 13: Etosha South

Leaving Hobatere Lodge after breakfast, you travel via Kamanjab and further on the tarred road to the Etosha National Park - Ongava Game Reserve or similar.

From Ongava Game Reserve you can explore the Etosha National Park (gates open sunrise) and  and stop over at the various waterholes in the hope of experiencing some exciting wildlife sightings.  We recommend setting off early morning, when the wildlife is most active.

Etosha National Park is renowned as one of the best game reserves in Africa is a haven for wildlife and supports one of the most important ecological and wildlife systems on the continent.  At 22,270 km sq this huge park hosts an impressive collection of game including the white rhino and endangered black rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, giraffe and numerous species of antelope as well as an impressive 340 species of birds - enough to keep any nature and wildlife enthusiast happy.

 

Days 14 - 15: Etosha East

Today  you have enough time to explore once again the Etosha National Park.  Etosha is considered to be one of the best wildlife viewing areas in the world and was declared the first conservation area in 1907 in what was then German South West Africa.  It is a haven for wildlife, large and small, which gathers at its waterholes dotted through the park like a string of water pearls. The variety of vegetation, chalky character, plethora of animals and large pan, make this a highly recommended Namibian excursion.

Exit the park on the eastern side at Namutoni and continue a short drive to the Onguma Game Reserve.

Days 16 - 17: Waterberg Plateau National Park

Today you travel to the Waterberg Plateau.  En route visit the Otjikoto Lake and the Museum in Tsumeb, travel via Otavi and Otjiwarongo to the Waterberg Guest Farm. 

The guest farm is set at the foot of the picturesque Waterberg Plateau on a 42,000ha private cattle farm called the Ranch 'Okosongomingo' with the impressive plateau as a picturesque backdrop. The town of Otjiwarongo is only 63km away and many guests day trip across the farm to the Cheetah Conservation Fund.

Day 18: Greater Windhoek

Spend the morning visiting the CCF facilities where research, conservation and educational work is done dedicated to saving cheetahs who are facing extinction, before heading back to Windhoek or relax at the Waterberg Guest Farm or drive to Okakarara and visit the Steps for Children Project.

Where it all began - small businesses for hot meals - Steps for Children Project.

The first of Dr. Michael Hoppe initiated aid project of the foundation steps for children, Which was built from the beginning by the couple Gertrud and Jürgen Schmotz with and financially supported ,  created in March 2006 in Okakarara, in northern Namibia near the Waterberg with a soup kitchen and preschool for 30 children. Meanwhile, we serve with our partners every day more than 1,300 children in our kindergarten, preschool and afternoon groups at six project sites in Namibia. The main target group of the projects are vulnerable and traumatized children and young people, oft in connection with HIV / AIDS.

And since August 1, 2017 officially goes wrong with our new project in Zimbabwe : More than 1,500 infants are over a project period of three years of our common commitment to the Foundation help with plan the children's charity Plan International benefit in this region, even Indirectly more than 12,500 children.

Continue your travel back to Windhoek via Okahandja.  During the afternoon you will reach the Okapuka Lodge.

Day 19: End of Itinerary

During the morning you can still explore Windhoek and do the last souvenir shopping befor your drive out to the Hosea Kutako International Airport, in time for your departure flight.
