Day notes

Day 1. Meet & greet at NBO airport

On arrival JKIA, you are met by a Nature Expeditions representative for transfer to the
hotel for leisure

Day 2 & 3. Nairobi - Amboseli NP

After breakfast check out and drive to Amboseli National Park arrive for lunch.

Day 3. Full day Amboseli NP

You will spend the day in the park on morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Wildlife here
includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah,
buffalo, wild dog among others.

Day 4 & 5. Amboseli - Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast check out and drive to Tsavo West

After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West National Park, the largest park in the country. Tsavo West is famed for the notorious “Man Eaters of Tsavo”.
The man-eating lions preyed on the railway linesmen building the great Uganda Railway.

The Park offers remarkable views with a variety of habitats ranging from mountains, river forests, lakes, and wooded
grassland.

Day 5. Full day Tsavo West safari

Spend a further day in the park which features the Shetani & Chaimu Lava Flows, excellent bird watching with over 600 species.

Apart from the elephant population, there are many lions – some undoubtedly the descendants of the famous Man-eaters of Tsavo!

There is also the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, established to protect the highly poached Rhino which was close to extinction. Mzima Springs is yet another feature, whose source is the Chyulu Hills.

An observation platform and an underwater glass tank provide a special vantage point to view this remarkable oasis.

Day 6 - 7. Tsavo West - Tsavo East

Have Breakfast, proceed to Tsavo East National Park. This Park is a “theatre of wild” it covers an area of 13,747 sq. Km, you will arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.

The Park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals such as elephant, Rhino, buffalo, and the big cats such as lion, leopard and cheetah and birds such as starlings, warblers, stocks, egrets, vultures,
crows among others later back to the lodge

Day 7. Full day Tsavo East safari

After breakfast spend the day in the park. Some of Kenya’s largest elephant herds are in Tsavo East Park, so you will likely see these grey-skinned animals in several locations.

What you may not expect, though, is the color of their skin being partly red. These elephants’ dust themselves
with the red-brown Tsavo murram soil, so photographing them creates evocative images that are the envy of many visitors.

Day 8. Tsavo East - Voi train station 

After breakfast check out, and transfer to Voi SGR Terminus for a first-class train ride to Nairobi departing at 1000hrs and arriving at 1410hrs on arrival, you are transferred to JKIA for a departure flight.
