Day notes
You will be met in the arrivals hall at the airport after clearing the entry formalities for Botswana. You will then go straight over to your charter flight that will take you deep into the Chobe National Park to the famous Savuti area. You will be met here by your guides and the safari starts right from the airstrip with a game drive into camp.
While you are here in Savuti you will be exploring the various areas that include the seasonal pans, ancient rocky outcrops with San rock art, the open grasslands of the marsh area and the permanent waterpoints around the area. The Savuti is famous for it's beautiful big lion prides, packs of African Painted Dogs, Leopard and Hyena plus a tremendous menu of species like Giraffe, Buffalo, Tsessebe, Impala, Ostrich, Kudu, Wildebeest and the smaller antelope like Duiker, Bushbuck and Steenbok. There is always something happening here and your camp is right there with animals moving all around. A really genuine safari experience in this very comfortable tented camp. A great way to start your Botswana safari experience.
