You arrive in Cape Town at 4pm where you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel by car. Please make arrangements with him for your pick up time the following day for your half day tour of Cape Town.
The Commodore is ideally situated at the entrance to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and has an in-house restaurant as well as being close to many local eateries.
After breakfast your guide will meet you in reception for your half day private tour of the city. Your day will include Table Mountain with its impressive cable car and time on the top to enjoy the magnificent views.

Robben Island is a popular choice and boats leave the Victoria and Alfred dock regularly for the short crossing to this notorious prison. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is world famous. It nestles under Table Mountain and is home to an amazing amount of birdlife and specimen plants .

Your vehicle will be delivered by Europcar to your hotel at 09.00 ready for your self drive adventure along the Garden Route.
You leave the city this morning and head east towards Cape Town's Wineries and the beautiful small town of Franschoek. Your boutique hotel is situated in the heart of the town near local cafes and restaurants. and is a short walk to the Wine Tram Terminal where you will star your Curated Wine Experience the following day

You head for the coast this morning to Hermanus which is known as South Africa's whale watching capital and October is high season for whales.
You are booked on the 12 noon whale watching tour but will need to be at the dock by 11.30. ( full directions will be found on your voucher ) Hermanus is an hour and a half's drive from Franschoek.

From Hermanus you continue driving east along the Garden Route until you get to Plettenberg Bay for 3 nights at the Robberg Beach Lodge.
Robberg Beach Lodge offers View Rooms which are all situated in Beachy Head Villa: set on a beachfront dune, overlooking Robberg's Blue Flag swimming beach.
On your first full day in this area we have included a visit to the Featherbed Nature Reserve on the Western Head in Knysna. This includes a return ferry trip to the Western Head and the Reserve and an al fresco lunch . You can explore the Reserve on foot at your own pace or join a guided walk through the coastal forest and fynbos into ancient sea caves.
The following day you have a day at leisure to explore this beautiful area, its beaches and attractions such as Monkeyland, Birds of Eden to name just two, or you can simply enjoy the magnificent Robberg's beach on your doorstep.
It is a half hour drive from Plettenberg Bay to Knysna. your boat departure is at 10am and your tour will take around 4 hours including lunch
The Featherbed Nature Reserve, situated on the Western Head in Knysna, is the premier eco-experience on the Garden Route.

Your last 2 nights finds you back in the bush at Amakhala Hlosi Game Lodge.
Hlosi is a luxury lodge that sits in the middle of this Big 5 Game Reserve and the large luxury safari tents are one bedroom and have all the modern conveniences, including full en-suite bathrooms, air conditioners, electric blankets and a minibar. They also have an open-plan lounge and viewing decks over-looking the African bush.
You will enjoy lunch on your arrival followed by an afternoon game drive and dinner in the evening.
In addition to your game drives there is an optional extra of a 2 hour walk with a ranger if you decide to get your feet on African soil on your penultimate day on the continent.
