You will be met by our driver at Kamuzu International Airport and transferred to Kumbali Country Lodge. Upon arrival, relax with a cold drink and unpack at your leisure. Our representative will come by with your vehicle and meet you for a briefing on directions and driving in Malawi.
Spend the afternoon at leisure by the pool , wander around the estate down to the village or sip a gin and tonic or two overlooking immaculate lawns.
After breakfast depart Lilongwe for Zomba - the old Colonial Capital (about 4 hours with a stop for coffee at Dedza pottery. Continue to Zomba arriving for a late lunch at Kuchawe Inn. Spend the afternoon on a walk around the lodge.
Spend the whole day on the Zomba Plateau – optional activities include guided walks from the lodge , guided plateau tours or horse riding (additional cost)
Depart from Kucahwe and head towards one of Malawi’s finest parks – Liwonde National Park (2hrs). You will drive to Hippo View where you will leave the car in a secure parking and take a boat up river to Liwonde National Park. You will be staying at Mvuu Camp on a full board basis including activities which revolve around boating trips on the Shire River and game drives (morning and afternoon/evening), nature walks and bike rides are also possible.

This morning after breakfast you will depart Mvuu Camp for the Southern lake shore heading to the Robinson Crusoe adventure of Mumbo Island .
Enjoy a leisurely drive - stopping at another lakeshore hotel for lunch - to make it for the 1500 boat transfer. Here you will leave your car and just relax on the islands using the water for your transport.
Spend the day kayaking round the island , walking the nature trails , or just enjoying the seclusion.
After breakfast, leave one island for the next by boat. A 40 minute transfer over the lake of stars brings you to your next island home: Blue Zebra Island Lodge
Enjoy the luxury of two full days to relax and enjoy Blue Zebra island Lodge – doing as much or as little as you feel like. Snorkelling and swimming in the lake or the infinity pool are a couple of options...or grab a kayak to head out and explore on the water.
Another day of bliss at Blue Zebra. There are many activities on offer here including scuba diving and water skiing (additional charges).
After breakfast take the special early boat transfer back to Senga Bay (20mins) to be collected by our representative and transferred back to Lilongwe (1.5 to 2 hours) for your flight out later. Even before you fly out you'll already be wanting to return...
