COVID TESTS for SA Departures.

The National Health Laboratory Service operates three mobile COVID-19 test units, offering PCR testing, in clearly identifiable vans located opposite the InterContinental Hotel, on the lower level of the airport complex.
The service is available 24/7.
Test results are available within 24 to 48 hours and guests will be advised by SMS that the test result and certificate are ready for collection.

Approximate cost: $50 per person and is payable to the testing facility directly.
Payment: Cash, debit cards and credit cards are accepted. (American Express is not accepted)

Alternatively you can contact a company called Testaro (https://www.testaro.co.za/) to arrange testing at the hotel.

After breakfast transfer to the Johannesburg airport for your flight to Maun, Botswana.

A Negative PCR test will be required when you check in that is no older than 24 hours.  Failure to produce this will result in you  being turned away from the check in.

Flight Johannesburg to Maun is not included in this package cost.  

Arrival into Maun, clear customs and immigration and check in for your charter flight to camp.

Light aircraft charter to camp - approximately 20-40 minutes, with possible stops enroute as this is a daily scheduled Seat in Plane flight.

Arrival at the camp airstrip, you are met by your ranger and transferred into Camp.  Check in for FOUR nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Whilst in camp you will be advised about your daily game activities which will depend on weather and game movement.  Surprises and different activities will make every day a new adventure.

A negative PCR test will need to be done at least 24 hours prior to departure.  In-lodge testing can be arranged for a fee (costs to be advised) and results will be available for collection the following day prior to departure from Maun. 

Depart from the camp on a small charter flight back to Maun where you will collect your PCR tests and check in for the flight to Johannesburg.

Flight Johannesburg to Maun is not included in this package cost.  

On arrival into Johannesburg, please collect your luggage and make your way through transit to the Air Seychelles check in for flight departing at 21h10, arriving in Mahe at 04h05 on the 2nd October.

On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to Eden Bleu Hotel for a sleep and shower before you connect to Alphonse 

Your PCR test from Botswana should be valid for departure this evening to Seychelles

This morning after breakfast, check out transfer to the IDC hangar for the charter flight hop to Alphonse Island 

On arrival at the resort, check in for SEVEN  nights on a fully inclusive package.

Our fishing trips include soft drinks, packed lunches, water, tea, coffee, Teasing tackle, Conventional gear, fly rod and reels.  Fly Ties are excluded.

COVID Testing for Departure from Alphonse 

We are able to conduct your PCR test by our trained nurse at our onsite clinic on Alphonse Island. A swab may only be taken on days where there is a charter flight scheduled to Mahé on the same day the swab is taken, so we are able to fly this swab back to Mahé in order for the swab to be processed at the central laboratory on the same day it is taken. There is a fee of $110 for the swab to be collected from the IDC hangar and delivered to the laboratory for processing.

If you require a negative PCR test result for your departing airline or to enter into your country on your return from the Seychelles, there is a cost of SCR2 500 for this swab to be tested and the results to be returned to you. We are able to conduct this test on Alphonse at
the fee of $110. In order to allow for processing times of the test results, we recommend planning 24-48 hours on either Alphonse Island or Mahé prior to your international flight departure. The nurse on Alphonse will arrange for your results to be emailed to you.

Depart from the island and fly  back to Mahe to connect out on longhaul flight either to Johannesburg or onward to Madrid directly.

Commercial flight from Mahe is not included.

On arrival into Johannesburg a negative PCR test will be required, guests proceed through transit to check in for flight to Madrid.
