On Day 3, you'll return to the international airport for a light aircraft flight to Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s most renowned and expansive game reserves. You will stay in the heart of the prime game viewing area at Roho ya Selous for the next four nights. After settling into your room and enjoying a delicious lunch, you’ll have some time to relax before afternoon tea, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive. Nyerere National Park is known for its rich diversity and high density of wildlife, making every safari experience here incredibly rewarding.
Your time on safari will be flexible, offering a range of activities to choose from each morning and afternoon. Walking safaris in Nyerere are unique, allowing you to explore the miombo woodland with an expert guide, providing an intimate perspective on the environment. Boating safaris are an excellent way to observe wildlife along the water’s edge, including bird colonies, hippos, and crocodiles. These excursions can be enjoyed in the morning or afternoon. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and take you on a short game drive en route to Jabali Ridge, your home for the next four nights. The rest of the day can be enjoyed at your leisure, with the option of embarking on an afternoon game drive. As evening falls, you can unwind with drinks and dinner, or if you're feeling adventurous, head out on a night game drive to explore the park’s nocturnal wildlife.
Your stay at Jabali Ridge offers a variety of activities tailored to your preferences. Start your day with a walking safari, providing a unique perspective as you explore the bush on foot. You can also opt for morning game drives or full-day game drives with picnic lunches, immersing yourself in the vast landscapes of Ruaha. For a more relaxed experience, enjoy a leisurely lunch at the camp followed by an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, spend the day at your own pace, lounging by the pool or indulging in the luxurious treatments offered at the spa, making the most of your time at this incredible location.
