As of 2020 there are no direct flights from the U.S. to Montevideo. Using a combination of United and Copa Airlines is the best route to travel to Montevideo. Most flights are usually overnight so we have based this sample itinerary on one that departs from Houston.

Buenos Aires is a good option to arrive/depart from should you wish to extend your trip before or after the hunt. Please inquire to Trek Safaris if you have interest in doing this.
Upon arrival in Montevideo and after clearing immigrations/customs, you’ll be greeted by one of our English speaking guides at Montevideo’s International Airport. From there, you’ll have a one hour drive to the estancia, followed by an afternoon shoot at high-volume doves. Following the hunt, enjoy cocktails and a gourmet dinner at Estancia La Bellaca
These days will consist of morning shoot at either high-volume pigeons over decoys or perdiz over dogs. In the afternoon shoot high- volume doves or decoying pigeons. Between hunts, you’ll have lunch and time for a siesta. The evening will feature cocktails, dinner and lodging at La Bellaca.
We shoot a mixture of pigeon, dove and perdiz. Perdiz is a world-class upland game bird hunted over well trained pointers. Pigeon shooting takes place in harvest corn fields or sorghum plantations which provides for incredible decoying. Eared Dove, considered a plague in Uruguay , provides the ultimate high-volume dove hunting experience. Dove presentations are limitless each day and hunters can expect to shoot to their heart's content.
You will enjoy one last morning hunt then return to the lodge and settle your shell invoices. After another wonderful lunch, you transfer back to Montevideo and will check in for your overnight flight home.
