On arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport, please clear customs and immigration formalities and collect your luggage. Proceed into the Arrivals Hall where a representative will meet you, hand over further documentation and assist you to your onward flight.
Depart O.R. Tambo International Airport by Federal Air shared light aircraft flight to Arathusa. Estimated flying time to Arathusa Airstrip is approximately one hour and five minutes. Kindly note however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.
Arathusa Safari Lodge is an enchanting lodge which lies within the world renowned Sabi Sand Private Reserve, next to the unfenced Kruger National Park. Guests to Arathusa are treated to an exceptional wildlife experience, including the prized "Big Five" (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo). Arathusa's waterhole is its signature feature. There is never a lack of activity at the water's edge and one need not leave the comfort of the camp to see the game.

Walks are usually arranged in the early hours during the summer months, when temperatures are more moderate. Being on foot affords a unique and altogether different view of the bush.

The treatment room overlooks the lodge’s waterhole and the African bushveld and it is here that you can avail yourself of a wide selection of treatments to soothe the body, relax the mind, and indulge the senses. Available at an additional cost, enjoy a fun filled day of bicycling through the picturesque vineyards of the Franschhoek winelands. All fitness levels are welcome on this stunning 27 kilometers (16 miles) cycle throughout the wine valley. Make your way through the quaint town of Franschhoek stop at the famous Huguenot Monument as your private guide tells you a bit about the French heritage of the historic town.
Your trained cycle safari guide will take you to the first tasting of the day where you’ll sip on superb wines paired with either biltong, turkish delight or locally made chocolate. Your next stop takes you off the beaten track and onto a dirt road sweeping onto the other side of the mountains. It’s here that you’ll come upon a hidden winery that specialises in award winning wines.
Take a seat and enjoy the view before hopping back onto your cycle steed. After an enjoyable morning on the road, you’ll have earned a fantastic lunch and one last wine tasting at the renowned Moreson wine farm. After lunch your guide will transfer you back to the hotel.
