You will be met by a local guide/driver upon arrival at Skukuza Airport and privately transferred to Umkumbe Bush Lodge, located in the Sabie Game Reserve, within the borders of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, considered by many to be the premier wildlife reserve in South Africa, and unfenced from the western boundary of the Kruger National Park.
Overlooking a waterhole, Umkumbe Bush Lodge is perfectly situated in one of the best Big Five game viewing destinations in Africa.
Upon arrival you will be meet by the lodges staff who will assist with checking in and give overview of the daily activities, take you to your tent to settle in. lunch will follow in the main eating areas (all soft and alcohol drinks are not included, for client's cost). after lunch you can spend the time at leisure by the pool area, until it's time for the afternoon game drive.
Guests meet at the main area for the guided game drive with experienced and qualified driver and an animal tracker.
On the late afternoon game drive, you will stop for sundowners before darkness settles and the search for nocturnal species begins. With the help of the sharp-eyed tracker and their trusty spotlight, you can expect to encounter a range of elusive species, from leopards to chameleons and anything in between.
Drive times may change slightly at the discretion of the guide.
To end the day on a high note, you will gather in the traditional boma, a reed-fenced enclosure surrounding a cozy fire pit for dinner. This is the time to reflect on the day’s adventures with your safari companions while indulging in a delicious three-course dinner, featuring buffet-style main courses. Afterward dinner you will retire to your tent for the night.

Last day at the Bush Lodge to enjoy a morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and checking out.
