Visit Maras & Moray

Venture into the Sacred Valley to visit the mysterious circular terraces of Moray, set against a backdrop of tranquil highland fields. While their true purpose remains debated, these ancient earthworks are believed to have functioned as a sophisticated agricultural laboratory. Then continue on to the salt ponds of Maras, a centuries-old network still worked by hand today. Watch as local families extract salt from the mountainside, and take the opportunity to support the community by purchasing this mineral treasure directly from the source.

Scratching the surface of the heavens from its place atop the grandest of mountaintop pedestals, it is easy to lose yourself in the mystique and grandeur of this enigmatic citadel. Soak in the energy and atmosphere of one of the most significant archeological sites on the planet while your guide helps you uncover the secrets behind key areas of interest such as the Sun Dial, the Guard House, the Sacred Plaza and the Temple of the Sun.
