Day 1: Pumba Private Game Reserve

With a warm welcome, you will be transferred to Pumba Private Game Reserve, home of the ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Settle in and soak up the tranquillity and stunning views of the African bush before embarking on your late afternoon game drive.

Day 4: Plettenberg Bay

After a delicious breakfast, your journey continues to the Garden Route, one of South Africa’s most scenic regions and home to a wealth of natural beauty including mountains, forests, and nature reserves. Enjoy an exceptional lunch at Fynboshoek Cheese Farm.

Day 5: Plettenberg Bay

Plettenberg Bay, a paradisiacal seaside town, provides the perfect launch pad from which to explore the heart of the Garden Route. Bronze sculptor, Robert Leggat, produces bronze sculptors in anatomically correct pieces with great sensitivity and realistic depiction of textures and natural forms. Visit Robert’s own foundry ‘Bronze Fields’ where he regularly exhibits. Bramon Boutique Wine Estate is the first estate to pioneer vineyards in the Plettenberg Bay area. Enjoy a leisurely wine tasting and lunch at the estate’s restaurant set in the vineyards and overlooking the Tsitsikamma Mountains.

Day 6: Hermanus

Meander your way along the N2 towards Hermanus, the whale watching capital of the world. Set on the shores of Walker Bay, surrounded by mountains, indigenous fynbos, and dramatic cliffs, Hermanus is breathtaking. The tour buzzes with activity during the whale season (July-November), when Southern Right Whales visit Walker Bay from Antarctica to breed and rear their young.

Day 7: Hermanus

You may see great white sharks, whales, Cape fur seals, Bryde’s whales, and the elusive humpback dolphin as you cruise down the famous Shark Alley.

Day 8: Stellenbosch

From the coast, you will travel by road through the ‘Heaven & Earth’ valley for a wine tasting and pairing at Bouchard Finlayson, a family-owned boutique vineyard and winery. Continue via the scenic coastal road to Vergelegen, a prestigious and awarded wine estate offering a unique combination of heritage, environment, and hospitality. Experience the Vergelegen Cultural Heritage and Gardens first-hand on a walking tour accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, followed by lunch at Stables Restaurant, renowned for its great garden setting and mountain views.
