Welcome to Salzburg!

Transfer from Munich International Airport to your hotel in Salzburg.

Check-in upon arrival followed by dinner in the Old Town. 

Salzburg - City of Music  

After a good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast, join your local expert on a guided walking tour of stunning Salzburg. Famous for its baroque architecture, churches, the impressive castle, and pretty cobblestone streets, the city holds a well deserved UNESCO World Heritage listing. 
Start the tour in the Old Town, and explore the Old Market Place, the Franciscan church and the famous Salzburg Cathedral. 
Along the route, visit Mozart's birth house, and listen to stories about the musical genius. At the end of the tour, enjoy a small piano concert in the house. 
Continue across the river to the other side of the small Mozartsteg-bridge to the Mirabell Gardens, made famous by the movie "Sound of Music". Perhaps you remember the scene where the kids sing "Do Re Mi" and leap off the fountain? 

After the tour, Salzburg is yours to explore for the rest of the afternoon! 

In the evening, meet up for dinner in town at the St. Peters Stiftskeller.  Enjoy a lovely 3-course dinner and a Mozart concert in beautiful surroundings. 
Return to your hotel after dinner at your own leisure. 

The Mozartkugel  - Sweet temptations in St. Gilgen 

The Mozartkugel is quite possibly Salburg's biggest export after Mozart himself. Invented in Salzburg in 1884,  they consist of nougat, chocolate, and pistachio-marzipan. Sold in millions, if not billions across the world, this treat seems never to go out fashion. Did you know that back in the days, the confectioners producing the Mozartkugel had to whistle throughout the entire process? The ingredients were expensive, and the owners worried, they would eat instead of produce! 
Today is your chance to learn how to make the original Mozartkugel, but don't worry, we won't make you whistle. After a short transfer to St. Gilgen, the staff at Dallmanns's will teach you the art of the Mozartkugel. Apart from the right ingredients, you need a little love and patience to create these sweet delights. 
After the workshop, enjoy a much-deserved piece of cake and a perfect cup of coffee. 

Return to Salzburg after the workshop, enjoy lunch and catch the funicular up to the imposing Hohensalzburg Fortress. Your local guide will give you insights to this incredible structure and its history going back to the 12th century. 

The rest of the afternoon is free at your leisure. 

Meet up again in the evening, for a night of classical music in Salzburg. 

Classical Concert 

Have a sleep-in, enjoy a lovely breakfast and spend time at leisure in Salzburg. Take a stroll through the beautiful cobblestone streets, check out the shops or some of the town's museums. 

Meet up in the evening for your final night dinner and concert.

Departure 

After a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, it's time to say Auf Wiedersehen to Salzburg! 

Check-out and transfer to Munich International Airport.
