Upon arrival collect your rental car at the Bidvest hire car desk.

Your guesthouse for the evening is a short drive of about 20 minutes drive from the airport.  Teremok is in the beautiful Umhlanga Rocks area and there are lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. 

After a delicious breakfast and checkout your journey continues up the East coast of KwaZulu-Natal to St Lucia, about 2 1/2 hours drive away.  This is known as the Elephant Coast, untamed spirit of the Zulu Kingdom.  You will leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city for serene and diverse landscapes. 

After breakfast and checking out you drive further up the East coast for just over 3 hours to reach Rocktail. The lodge is situated 700 meters from the unspoiled beach (40 kilometers long!)

For the next two days, enjoy and relax.  Amongst highlights are word class diving, birding, walking, swimming and during summer guests can accompany nightly research drives to monitor turtle nesting numbers and behaviour. The sight of a 750kg leatherback turtle heaving herself up the beach to lay eggs is a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.

After breakfast and checkout you will take your transfer back to Coastal Cashews to collect your hire car. 

You drive away from the coast and head inland for the next part of your your adventure.  Amakhosi Game Reserve is aproximately 3 1/2 hours drive away.

Arrive in time for lunch at Amakhosi and a little free time before your afternoon game drive.

The next two days will be full of adventure and some adrenaline as well. Game drives will happen in the early mornings and late afternoons. In between enjoy the surroundings, the pool and food.

From one great place to the next! Isandlwana Lodge  awaits you. After your morning safari and breakfast you drive to KwaZulu Natal Battlefields (approx. 3,5 hours drive).

During your stay you will be taken on a Battlefield tour and also hear the storytelling of Isandlwana's local resident guide, who is decendent of one of the impi warriors at The Battle of Isandlwana. 

After breakfast it is time to keep traveling. Now to the magnificent Drakensberg region (approx. 3,5 hours drive).

On arrival you will be met by a welcome drink and lunch. For the next few days you will experience this wonderful place through guided hikes, horse riding, mountain biking, fly fishing, canoeing trips, maybe backgammon or chess, food, wine and relaxation by the pool.

Today you will head back to Durban for a final night before departure (approx. 3 hours drive).

Check out after breakfast and drive to the airport where you deliver your rental car before flight home.
