Day 1: Kalahari Namibia

Your guide will meet with you at the Airport. Depart via Rehoboth, the city of the colored People, where we will stop for a short visit at the Museum, which will give us insight of their history and their tradition. Through to the Kalahari Desert with its ever changing Fauna and Flora and the fascinating red Sand dunes we will arrive in the afternoon at the Lodge.

Day 2: Fish River Canyon

Via Mariental we travel to Keetmanshoop to visit the Quivertree forest, a gathering of trees which are part of the Aloe Species. The Giants Playground is a remarkable sight of volcanic rocks. Arrival in the afternoon at a Lodge, close to the Fish River Canyon Park.

Day 3: Fish River Canyon

After an early breakfast we will take a short drive and visit the Fishriver Canyon. Looking at the trickle the Fishriver Canyon is today, it is difficult to imagine the raging mass of water that sculpted this magnificent canyon millions of years ago, making it one of the largest canyons in the world. A road along the eastern edge leads to various viewing points. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 4: Aus

A leisurely drive will take us to Aus. We will visit the former concentrations camp of the German Schutztruppe, where some traces of historical ‘”left-over’s” can still be seen, like Clay bricks of former huts and rust-like objects.

Day 5: Aus

From Aus through the plains of the southern Namib Desert our road leads us to Lüderitz. On the way we might be lucky and spot the wild horses. The mysterious ghost town of Kolmanskop which was built in the Diamond rush era will be our first sightseeing stop of the day. After the guided Tour and a visit to the historical Town of Lüderitz, we will have time to explore the town Lüderitz after which we will return to Aus.

Day 6: Sossusvlei

Depart via Helmeringhausen into the direction of the Sosussvlei. En route visit the Duwisib Castle which was built in 1908 by Baron von Wolf. Via the Zaris Height. En-route the breathtaking social weaver nests in the acacia trees are a spectacular sight along this route. Arrival late afternoon at a Lodge in the Sossusvlei area.

Day 7: Sossusvlei

Before sunrise we will depart to the Sossusvlei. Driving up to the Parking area of Sossusvlei we will encounter magnificent shapes and colours of dunes and vegetation. With a 4x4 shuttle service you will be able to explore the heart of the dunes of which some reach up to 300 meters. A walk by foot is part of the dune experience. The word ‘Sossus’ means “Water gathering place” or ‘Place of Water”. Afternoon return to the lodge with a short visit at the Sesriem Canyon, which is a deep gorge formed by the waters of the Tsauchab River.

Day 8: Swakopmund

Drive via the Namib Naukluft Nature Park to Solitaire, the ‘one-horse-town’ with its small shop, well known for its famous “Apfelstrudel”. Through the Gaub Pass and Kuiseb Canyon we will experience a different Namib Desert. In the Namib Naukluft Park we will visit the unique Welwitschia plants in the Welwitschia plains and drive through the scenic Valley of the Moon.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

A Chauffer Transfer will take you back to Windhoek via Usakos, Karibib and Okahandja.
