Day 1: Circular Quay

On arrival in Sydney, after clearing Customs and Immigration you enter the Arrivals Hall.  Your driver will be waiting here holding a sign board with your name on it.  You then make your way to the vehicle for your private transfer to your hotel.

Your room has been pre-registered for immediate access.

Later today you make your way to the Floating Pontoon at Campbell's Cove (a short walk from the hotel) for your private charter sunset cruise.  This is a great way to see Sydney from the water and recover from your flight.

3.00 pm - You board MV Enigma (a 65 foot motor yacht) and spend the next three hours cruising the waterways of the world's most beautiful harbour.   

6.00 pm - You disembark near the Park Hyatt and the evening is at your leisure.

Day 2: Circular Quay

Meet your private guide in the lobby of the hotel and set off to discover the most famous tourist icons and the hidden gems that only a Sydney-sider knows how to find and enjoy.

See the historic Rocks area, explore the colonial architecture of Macquarie Street, and see spectacular views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. See the glamourous Eastern suburbs, the famous Bondi Beach and the stunning views from South Head.

Travel over the Bridge to the Northern Beaches, see the pristine waterways of the Hawkesbury River and stroll the Corso at Manly.

This day is a relaxed way to see Sydney. Your guide will adapt the itinerary as you go, to make sure you get the most out of your day as a Sydney-sider. Lunch is included.

Day 3: Circular Quay

This morning you make your own way to BridgeClimb.

You need to arrive 15 minutes prior to you scheduled time. Described as the ‘climb of your life’ this activity centres on the famous ‘coathanger’ – the Harbour Bridge. The tour takes 2 ½ hours . The climb is not particularly strenuous, and provides you with an unparalleled panorama of the city skyline.

~10.00 am - Express Climb - shared basis.

Following your climb you have time for a casual lunch - for your own arrangements, prior to your Opera House tour.

You make your own way to the Sydney Opera House and enjoy a one hour private tour. Please check in at the Welcome Centre located on the Lower Concourse at least 10 minutes prior to your tour departure time.

~2.15 pm - Private 1 hour Tour of Sydney Opera House.

At the conclusion of your tour the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Expert tips

Bridgeclimb - No personal effects, including cameras and video cameras, are allowed on the climb (except wedding rings and sunglasses which are strapped to your suit. Lockers are available for storage). Rubber soled shoes such as runners should be worn. An alcohol breath test is performed as a matter of course with the blood alcohol limit being 0.05%.

Sydney Opera House - Please note bags larger than a standard handbag will need to be cloaked on arrival and may be subject to a search before being cloaked. It is not possible to store suitcases or large backpacks within the Sydney Opera House cloaking facilities.

Days 4 - 6: Lizard Island

You meet your driver in the lobby and transfer to Sydney Airport for your flight to Cairns.

Fly from Sydney to Cairns - a flight suggestion will be made.

On arrival in Cairns, you meet your driver near the luggage carousel for your private transfer to General Aviation for the light aircraft flight to Lizard Island - one hour flying time.

You enjoy three nights on Lizard Island.

Lizard Island is one of a kind – a work of nature’s art.  Located right on the Great Barrier Reef, it is a private paradise with 24 powdery white beaches.  During his epic voyage of 1770, Captain James Cook climbed the peak on Lizard Island to chart a course out to sea through the maze of reefs which confronted him.  Today Lizard Island offers an escape of a different kind, a unique holiday on the Great Barrier Reef's premier island. 

Lizard Island offers a plethora of activities, some at additional cost, all of which can be arranged in situ.  Options include:

  • private charter MV Release to the Great Barrier Reef for a full day of diving/snorkelling and light tackle fishing (at additional cost),
  • climbing Cook’s Look, the island’s highest point, for a stunning view over the Coral Sea back to the mainland,
  • snorkel the fringing reef around the island,
  • take advantage of the non-motorised water craft available,
  • take a glass bottom boat ride, or
  • pamper yourself with a spa treatment (at additional cost).

Day 7: Cairns

Today you depart Lizard Island.  You have the morning at your leisure.

Fly to Cairns on the scheduled flight (or a private charter flight can be arranged at additional cost).

On arrival in Cairns, you meet your driver near the luggage carousel for your private transfer to your accommodation. 

The evening is at your leisure.

Days 8 - 9: Yulara

This morning you are met in the hotel lobby by your driver and transfer to Cairns Airport.

Fly from Cairns to Ayers Rock - a flight suggestion will be made.

A staff member from Longitude 131 will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your accommodation.

Day 10: Kangaroo Island

Today you transfer to the Ayers Rock Airport for your flights to Kangaroo Island.

Fly from Ayers Rock to Kangaroo Island, via Adelaide - flight suggestions will be made.

On arrival at Kangaroo Island you are met and transferred to your accommodation.

Day 11: Kangaroo Island

You are met this morning by your guide  and kick off your Island Life tour (private basis, including lunch) with a visit to Seal Bay.

This tour takes in a variety of landscapes across Kangaroo Island from the Cygnet River valley to the north coast, across the central plateau and down to the rugged South Coast.

You enjoy morning tea, including home‐made cakes before a walk down a country track through tall eucalyptus trees where koalas snooze overhead or wake briefly for a feed.  You see some of the Islands most productive and diverse farming country, including sheep growing some of the world’s finest wool.  You take a walk through the Australian bush where you look for wallabies extinct on the mainland, a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island, and learn about some of the unique Island plants.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in a private bush setting featuring some of the Islands fresh produce including local fish, salads and fine wines before continuing to the South Coast.  At Seal Bay Conservation Park walk with your guide amongst sea lions on a beautiful sandy beach.  Watch pups nursing, or playing in the surf, see bulls bearing scars from territorial fights, and learn of their unique breeding biology.

The remainder of the afternoon is spent exploring more of the south east region of the Island with destinations and experiences chosen to reflect seasonal opportunities.

Day 12: Kangaroo Island

You are met by your guide and embark on your touring (private basis, picnic lunch included) with a visit to Flinders Chase National Park.

Flinders Chase is a vast wilderness covering the entire west end of the Island and is home to kangaroos, wallabies, possums, goannas, echidnas, koalas, platypus and many birds including the rare Cape Barren goose.

You visit Rocky River, site of an impressive visitor centre interpreting many facets of the park and it’s history before progressing onto Cape du Couedic, home to one of the largest fur seal colonies in the world (numbers estimated in excess of 20,000).  On the headland above is a beautiful historic stone lighthouse overlooking the Remarkable Rocks, huge natural granite sculptures carved by relentless winds, rain and salt from the Southern Ocean.  The end result looks like a meeting of the minds of Henri Moore and Salvador Dali!

You return to your accommodation in the late afternoon.

Day 13: Melbourne

Today you travel to Melbourne.

You are transferred to the Kingscote Airport for your onward flights to Melbourne - flight suggestions will be made.

On arrival in Melbourne you meet your driver at the luggage carousel and transfer by private vehicle to your hotel.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 14: Melbourne

Meet your guide for a full day private Laneways and Waterways tour, including lunch.

Snaking through the heart of the city, the sepia-coloured Yarra River is one of the stars of Acacia’s Melbourne Laneways & Waterways tour. But before you take to water, first you celebrate the city’s unique laneway culture on a private Melbourne laneway tour.

Teeming with incredible hole-in-the-wall cafes manned by passionate baristas, the street-art daubed thoroughfares also host laneway boutique galleries and designer stores showcasing local creations. Climb to a rooftop bar for a close-up look at the city’s glittering towers.

Day 15: Melbourne

Combining luxury touring of the Great Ocean Road with an unforgettable return journey to Melbourne in a private helicopter, the Great Ocean Road & Helicopter Journey is the ultimate way to experience one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines. 
 
Your journey begins at Australia’s celebrated surfing mecca and home to the world’s oldest and most prestigious surfing event, the legendary Bells Beach.  Further down the Great Ocean Road, walk amongst lazy mobs of wild kangaroos luxuriating on the renowned Anglesea golf course.  
 
Continue along the Great Ocean Road in comfort as it winds along the carved limestone cliffs of the surf coast to the seaside hamlet of Kennett River where there is the opportunity to get up close with local wildlife, from koalas to colourful native parrots.  
 
Following a sumptuous lunch of local seafood and regional produce in the popular holiday village of Apollo Bay, continue touring as the road forges inland through the verdant gullies of the Great Otway National Park.   
 
Finally, your journey emerges on the dramatic Shipwreck Coast near the iconic Twelve Apostles, the scenic highlight of the day. Stroll cliff-edge boardwalks for the perfect vantage point of these limestone stack formations. Venture to Loch Ard Gorge to learn tales of tragedy and heroism at the site where the Victorian-era clipper famously sunk in 1878 - one of the most uniquely beautiful beaches in Australia. 
 
After an invigorating day touring the Great Ocean Road, indulge in the ultimate finale by boarding a private helicopter for the scenic 75-minute flight tracing the dramatic coastline before the breathtaking touch down on the Yarra River in the very heart of Melbourne. 

Day 16: End of Itinerary

You meet your driver for your private transfer to Melbourne International Airport where you check-in for your homebound flight.
