Day 1 | Arrival in the City of Eternal Spring
Upon arrival at José María Córdova International Airport, a member of the Metropolitan Touring team will meet you and accompany you on a private transfer to your hotel in Medellín. During the drive, your guide will provide an overview of the city, share practical information about the program and assist with hotel check-in.
Set within the Aburrá Valley and surrounded by mountains, Medellín is known for its mild climate, Andean landscapes and ongoing urban transformation. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Day 2 | Coffee, Nature and Urban Expression
This day offers a multi-layered view of Medellín through its flavors, natural spaces and social transformation.
The experience begins with a specialty coffee tasting at a dedicated laboratory, where expert hosts introduce the aromas, flavors and processes that define Colombian coffee. The session offers insight into why Colombia is internationally recognized for its high-quality coffee production.
The journey continues to the Medellín Botanical Garden, one of the city’s most important green spaces. En route, your guide shares historical, environmental and cultural context, preparing you for a visit that highlights the connection between biodiversity and urban life.
Lunch is included at a restaurant located within the Botanical Garden, featuring contemporary cuisine that highlights local ingredients in a tranquil natural setting.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Museum of Antioquia, one of the city's most important cultural venues. The experience includes admission to the museum, where you can appreciate a valuable collection of Colombian art, highlighting works by Fernando Botero, as well as exhibitions that provide insight into the history and cultural identity of Medellín.
This experience also takes you to Comuna 13, a neighborhood that has become a symbol of Medellín’s resilience and social transformation. A guided walk reveals murals, outdoor escalators and artistic expressions that reflect the community’s recent history. The visit includes a shared break dance performance, adding energy and authenticity to the encounter with urban culture.
Return to the hotel at the end of the day.
Day 3 | Guatapé and El Peñol Rock
This full-day excursion explores the landscapes of eastern Antioquia, known for its rolling hills, reservoirs and colorful towns.
The experience begins at El Peñol Rock, a massive monolith rising approximately 650 feet above the surrounding landscape. Those who choose to climb its staircase are rewarded with panoramic views over the Guatapé reservoir, where waterways and green hills create a striking natural mosaic.
The journey continues to Guatapé, a town famous for its vividly painted zocalos, decorative reliefs that adorn house façades and tell stories of local life. A guided walk allows time to explore the main square, the church and the relaxed atmosphere that defines one of Colombia’s most photogenic towns.
The day concludes with a traditional Colombian lunch by the reservoir and a boat ride across the reservoir, offering a different perspective of the surrounding scenery before returning to Medellín.
Day 4 | Departure from Medellin
At the scheduled time, your guide will accompany you on a private transfer from the hotel to José María Córdova International Airport, providing assistance with airline check-in for your onward journey.
