Fly form Quito International Airport to Coca City, then take a motorized canoe for aprox 2 hours down river to La Selva Ecolodge. The final leg of the trip will be completed in a paddle canoe. After a brief greeting, you can enjoy lunch, and in the afternoon trek along the Matapalo Trail, named like this because of the 400 year old trees that can be seen during this visit. Returning to the lodge a tasty dinner & relaxation await.

Early wakeup call and breakfast. Then a 20 minute walk to a 120 ft observation tower, where the native guides will help you to spot the colorful birds of the Amazon and even certain primates. Walk along the Tucaneta Trail, where the native guide will show you native medicinal plants. There is also the option of visiting Mandi Cocha Lagoon, surrounded by Igapo forest where different species of birds and giant otters can often be seen. Return to the lodge for lunch and after a brief rest, the activities will continue walking the Charapa Trail, in search of mammals, monkeys and birds. At night enjoy a canoe ride to spot wildlife and star gaze.

Begin the day with a motorized canoe trip to the clay licks, where hundreds of parrots and parakeets gather to eat mineral rich soil. After this, experience a cultural activity at Mandi Wasi, a community center run by Kichwa women, where they share their life style and culture. After lunch, continue with a visit to Garzacocha Lagoon where you can see howler monkeys, pigmy marmosets, and plenty of birds. After dinner enjoy a nocturnal walk and the amazing sounds of the Amazon Jungle which comes alive.
